The falls start in shallow pools on a steep hillside. They lead down into a main fall with a 50 meter, three-tiered cascade. The water creates turquoise blue pools as it continues downstream. These cascades are typical of travertine waterfalls and offer beautiful scenery. The area is surrounded by an abundance of flora and fauna. After enjoying the scenery, you can take a swim in one of the nearby clear pools. There are hiking paths around the waterfalls. These paths bring visitors closer to nature. The Khmu village Ban Thapene is located below the limestone pools. The Khmu men are skilled basket weavers. Visitors can sometimes watch them craft baskets. These baskets are still used by the Laotians in their daily lives.
