  It was a unique and great experience, I have two younger children who were very well taken care of, we rented the horses and it was a very good experience communicating with the commoners, the guide Michael Flores what patience and good humor. We will come back and do many more tours with you.

  The experience was great in mountains of colors, it is super tedious to get there but the landscape is super amazing, the best of all was the explanation of the guide, the very serene and super professional driver the super good food.   Excellent service. I really enjoyed this experience. Everything was super well coordinated, from the moment I was picked up at the hotel. The food was delicious, and the guide was fantastic! The car was also comfortable. The rainbow mountain is simply wonderful and the views of the Andes and glaciers are the best I've ever had.I 100% recommend taking this tour; it's not always possible to visit landscapes at altitudes of over 5,000 meters! Tikas is a great agency and provides excellent service! They are very professional!

  Rainbow mountain is one of the hardest hikes that we have ever done, but thanks to Michael Flores and his team including Guido (our tour guide), we succeeded safely! All itinerary details were planned by Yupi Travel Cusco, which included transportation to the mountain and back to our hotels, as well as a tour guide on-site during the entire hike, which was invaluable! Transportation each way is approximately 3 hours (6 hours round trip), which was helpful to know in efforts to plan bathroom stops and adequate hydration prior to summit. Bathroom stops are limited on the way to rainbow mountain since you drive through more rural areas of the town. There was a bathroom close to the start of the hike, which I highly recommend using. My husband carried a medium-sized backpack for us filled with some water bottles, Powerade, hats for sun coverage, sunscreen, medications for altitude sickness, muña candy sold in Cusco, and a small bag just in case we felt sick. During the ride to rainbow mountain, we finished 1 water bottle in the car, and then saved 2 water bottles for the hike. Our friends chewed on the coca leaves, but we opted to stick to medications to prevent nausea and vomiting,and prophylaxis for cerebral edema. Talk to your doctor prior to your trip to see if they recommend something for you. We were informed that it would be cold and potentially windy at the summit so we wore our hiking boots, wool pants, puffer jacket, scarf and packed a winter hat and extra wool sweater for the summit. One of the suggestions from our tour guide was to utilize the horses for the first leg of the trip, which we highly recommend in order to save your energy for the steeper portion of the climb that came after, which the horses cannot climb. For the beginning portion of the ride with horses (paid there in soles cash), we wore caps with sun visors for the extra coverage since the UV rays are intense at this elevation. Prior to our trip, we were worried about how to summit rainbow mountain while limiting the effects of altitude sickness, but with the well-informed guidance of our tour guide, we were able to safely hike this trail at 17,000 feet of elevation at a recommended pace! We never felt rushed or unsafe. We are not the most experience hikers so this was an incredible feat for us! Michael did not only coordinate a Rainbow Mountain hike for us, but he also helped us obtain tickets to visit Machu Picchu last minute, gave us a walking tour of Cusco himself, and coordinated a tour of Lima, which was given by his friend Bernardo! We honestly would not have been able to accomplish this so seamlessly ourselves. What an incredible experience! Thank you!

  I highly recommend contacting Michael for all your Cusco tours, we did the machu pichu tour, rainbow mountain as well as walking tour in cusco. Michael is very knowledgeable of all the city and its history, he will tell you what he best recommends and thanks to him we were able to get Machu picchu. If you want to learn about history and have a great time in Peru definitely contact michael!

  Thank you michael, we had no income to machupicchu but with your assistance we made it, mountain of colors that beautiful but your constant follow made us feel safe. Very knowledgeable guides, super clean cars. Small groups a super cool adventure. I'll be back with my friends. And we'll contact them.

  It was an amazing trip for me and my family. Our tour guide was very professional, patience, full knowledgeable about the Inca's history. Our driver was very respectfull, friendly and always on time. Also the peruvian food is extremaly delicious in the restaurant that the travel company recomend us.
