Swoyambhu Mahachaitya
Swoyambhu Mahachaitya (Swayambhunath “Monkey Temple”) Perched atop a forested hill, More than 3000 century years old stupa is one of the most sacred Buddhist sites especially for Nepali Buddhism , Bajrayana. panoramic lookout over the entire Kathmandu Valley. Ascend the 365 stone steps flanked by playful rhesus monkeys, spin rows of prayer wheels, and admire the gleaming white dome crowned by a gilded spire and Buddha’s all-seeing eyes. Your guide explains the blend of Vajrayana Buddhism and Hindu symbolism here, from the Harati shrine (protector of children) to the five Dhyani Buddhas that represent the elements. (Entry fee not included; pay on arrival—currently NPR 200 for foreigners).
Patan Durbar Square
Patan Durbar Square (World Heritage Site) Cross the Bagmati River into the ancient Newar kingdom of Patan—renowned for its metal-casting and wood-carving guilds. Within one compact plaza lie centuries of royal Malla-era architecture: the tiered Krishna Mandir in fine grey stone, the golden-roofed Hiranya Varna Mahavihar (Golden Temple), and the former royal palace with its exquisitely carved courtyards. Peek into artisans’ workshops, watch master craftsmen hand-hammer bronze statues, and learn how Patan preserved its artistic heritage even after the 2015 earthquake.(Entry fee NPR 1,000).

5.00Raj Chettri organized a one week trip for us in Nepal - it was seamlessly arranged and everything was of the best quality. The cars and the drivers. Raj picked us at Kathmandu Tribhovan International airport. Manish Shreshtha drove us to many sites in Kathmandu such as Pashupati Temple, Patan Durbar, Bhaktpur Durbar, Swatambhu Temple, Boudhi Stupa and then to Nagarkote. He was terrific with knowledge of the local history and culture. Roshan Bista took us in a Land Cruiser to Pokhara through Bandipur. From Pokhara he took us to Ulleri. We were 3 in the group and with him we trekked to Ghorepani stayed overnight then to Poon Hill. Fantastic. He came with us to Muktinath (helicopter). Then to Lumbini. Roshan was a reservoir of information from philosophy, religion, bollywood, Nepalese history…….. Our family thanks Raj for this experience. We would recommend Bodhi Tree Tours & Treks to all that come to Nepal. They will elevate your travel experience. They are highly educated in culture & history & have a passion for this work.

5.00Raj is amazing. He organized an awesome tour of Kathmandu for us with the best guide of all time. Three-day safari. But, most importantly, Raj is so reliable that he helps to solve any issues: exchange money at the best rate, the best conditions in hotels, return a forgotten wallet with documents and money from another city. He is the best! Next time I will come with the whole family! And specifically to him!

5.00We've been traveling with friends on the ABC track for two weeks. The trip began with Kathmandu and a sightseeing tour of the city and nearby locations. At the hotel we met Raj, who at a very favourable rate helped to exchange currency, helped with the check-in and organization of our tour of Kathmandu. Also through him we booked a trip to Chitwan National Park on safari. Raj is a conscientious man who can be trusted. I recommend his company for referrals. Also wish Raj success and business development 🤝

Manish was our guide, ponctual and expert guide, he gave us a precious intoduction to Nepalese culture, explaining all the different aspects and details of Hinduist and Buddhist religion and the art and culture of the Kathmandu valley.
