Senso-ji Temple

Sensoji (浅草寺, Sensōji, also known as Asakusa Kannon Temple) is a Buddhist temple located in Asakusa. It is one of Tokyo’s most colorful and popular temples. : When approaching the temple, visitors first enter through the Kaminarimon(Thunder Gate), the outer gate of Sensoji Temple and the symbol of Asakusa and the entire city of Tokyo. A shopping street of over 200 meters, called Nakamise, leads from the outer gate to the temple's second gate, the Hozomon. Alongside typical Japanese souvenirs such as yukata and folding fans, various traditional local snacks from the Asakusa area are sold along the Nakamise. The shopping street has a history of several centuries. View of the Nakamise from above ; Beyond the Hozomon Gate stands the temple’s main hall and a five storied pagoda. Destroyed in the war, the buildings are relatively recent reconstructions.

Meiji Jingu Shrine

Meiji Shrine (明治神宮, Meiji Jingū) is a shrine dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji and his consort, Empress Shoken. Located just beside the JR Yamanote Line's busy Harajuku Station, Meiji Shrine and the adjacent Yoyogi Park make up a large forested area within the densely built-up city. The spacious shrine grounds offer walking paths that are great for a relaxing stroll.

Just what we needed at the end of our cruise. Take-san communicated very well prior to pick-up and was waiting for us when we disembarked. His vehicle housed our family and comically large amount of luggage with no problems. He recommended sites to visit, was very flexible when we wished to make changes, and got us to the airport with no problems at all.

Everything went perfectly, from pick-up to the end, including all communication beforehand and during the trip. The explanations along the way and the stops were also great. And he took our wishes into account and made everything possible.

Able to visit the Imperial Palace this week. Mr Take was very helpful. He knew about the Palace being open. Timed out visit to Tokyo well.

Keka San, our tour guide did a good job showing us all the places featured on the tour. But the most memorable one is the authentic Ramen place were they served the best ramen in town

We were picked up at the Yokohama cruise terminal on a private van. The tour guide was very professional and very diligent. We had made a schedule beforehand and the guide made sure we visited every stop. I would greatly recommend this to anyone that's travelling with a group of friends or family looking for a private tour.
