5.00You are climbing up or down most of the time. Wear a bathing suit underneath your clothes. Also you might want to take a rain poncho to avoid the mist at some falls. My guide Fernando was excellent.

Great trips in Banos

5.00We went on three tours in Banos with Explorsierra in two days. The first was canyoneering in Casahurca with Rene and Axel, a father and son guide team. They were very professional and patient with us and the trip was great. Our the kids age 11,13 and 15 loved it, especially Axel!! The experience is definitely intense but at no point did we feel unsafe. On the next day we went on the 8 waterfall tour with Santiago. Santiago is a great guide and he was very patient and always had a smile on his face enjoying the day alongside us. His English is very good and he is very knowledgeable and was happy to answer all our questions. My kids did the Tarzan swing and we all did the Superman Zipline. Great fun! Lunch, grilled trout in a hole in the wall restaurant, was also really good!!! In the afternoon around 3 pm we went rock climbing on basalt rock in a spectacular spot near the river. Our two guides, Marcello and Jair were great. They put up three routes and were extremely patient with us, as my kids are fairly new at the sport. Santiago is also a great climber and he came along as well. For all these trips the guides took photos that they then sent to us. They will remain great memories of a great time in Banos. We highly recommend ExplorSierra.

5.00The guide was very nice and excited to show us all the places you don't normaly go. Amazing views over multiple hidden waterfalls. His English was very good, and he was always eager to take a picture of us at the amazing places.
