National Museum of Ethiopia
You will start your city tour of Addis Ababa with the National Museum of Ethiopia. This is one of the best museums in quality and diversity of the exhibits. Archeological exhibits include the 3.5 million-year-old fossil of Lucy (or Dinkinesh – ‘thou art wonderful’- in the native language), a hominoid woman of the specious of Australopithecus Afarensis. The discovery of Lucy’s fossil in 1974 forced a complete rethink of human genealogy, providing that our ancestors were walking 2.5 million years earlier than had been supposed. The National Museum also contains many wonderful artifacts dating back to pre-Axumite civilization. Please note that the National Museum Will be closed on Monday.
Yekatit 12 Martyrs Square
Yekatit 12 Martyrs Square Monument is located near the Addis Ababa University and the Lion Zoo. This place has a significant historical background.

5.00Had a great experience visiting these various places. Due to the various places visited, I felt like I had seen the best of Addis in just a day. Teshome was particularly helpful and clear with his explanations!

5.00This tour is exceptional. My husband and I learned so much about Ethiopia and its history from our guide, Teka. We loved the coffee, the food, the sites, and market. Also, our driver was very timely and skilled getting around the busy city. I would highly recommend booking this tour.

5.00We had an excellent full day tour of Addis Ababa with Teshome. He was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and engaging from start to finish. He explained the history, culture, and architecture in a way that was easy to understand but still very thorough and insightful. The tour was well organized and efficient, and the hotel pickup and drop off made the day completely seamless. We covered the major highlights without ever feeling rushed. Teshome answered every question thoughtfully and added context that made each stop more meaningful. If you’re looking for a comprehensive and well run introduction to Addis Ababa, this tour is a fantastic choice. Highly recommend, especially with Teshome as your guide.
A Must Do Trip in Addis Ababa

5.00Just got back to my hotel after an amazing day being taken around Addis Ababa. Tekalgn was such an amazing guide, loads of info and facts of all the places we went and answered any questions. The tour was amazing, we did Entoto Park for the amazing views of Addis Ababa, then we headed to the Ethnological Museum in the university grounds, then the national museum of Ethiopia where we saw the Lucy fossil, then we walked around the Mercato market where Tekalgn introduced me to and we spoke to various vendors/sellers, the market is so big and busy I’d not have seen a quarter of what I did if I’d been without him. Next we headed for lunch and had an amazing meal, then finally St George’s Cathedral, I was then dropped back at my hotel. Amazing day, definitely book this trip and ask for Tekalgn if you can, his brother was the driver and it was just the best day!
Best tour in Addis Ababa. Tour conducted with excellence by qualified, gentle and super professional guide. I recommend.

4.00Toured addis for the day ,went to haile selaisse memorial,and various other memorials ,had local ethiopian food for lunch with a coffee making experience,to many places we visited to mention specifically,but worth it ,went up mount entoto to view addis from above also.
