There you can visit and take a tour of the Isla Negra House Museum (optional, you have to pay the entrance ticket which costs approximately $10,000 Chilean pesos). The tour lasts approximately 1 hour.
Pomaire
Pomaire is a small town of pottery artisans, belonging to the Commune of Melipilla, and is very famous for its great talent in clay. Its main attraction is the pottery workshops that are found throughout the town. One of its main streets is Roberto Bravo, where clay crafts are sold and typical dishes of Chilean cuisine are offered, such as pastel de choclo and empanada. The pottery is characterized by its reddish hue and smooth, shiny surface. Its pottery tradition dates back to before the arrival of the Spanish. It is possible to find vases, pails, ornaments and decorative items, highlighting the "chanchitos", piggy banks in the shape of three-legged pigs that are said to bring good luck.

The tour of Neruda’s home was fascinating and well worth visiting. You can see why his bed faces the expansive and hypnotic view of the wild ocean waves as they crashes upon the rocks. You too will be mesmerized as you perch upon the rocks. The wine tour through the gardens of Ungarruda vineyard was both peaceful and informative. We had lunch at los Naranjos where the food was delicious and plentiful. Juanito was.most accommodating and had plenty of information to impart through the whole dapy tour.

I recommend you take this walk. Pablo Neruda’s house faces the ocean with a spectacular view and offers a wide variety of collections that the poet made privately. Also visit Pomaire which is a picturesque little village dedicated to crafts and Undurraga winery, whose guide is very pleasant.

From the moment Ricardo picked us up, I knew we were going to have a wonderful day. He basically catered to all of our requests, was very patient and Polite. He took us to this great local restaurant in Pomaire and we were able to taste delicious Chilean food. The time spent at Pablo Neruda’s house was very rewarding and we ended the day at the Undurraga Vineyard, where we tested 4 different wines from their collection. At no time, he showed that he was in a hurry and gave us enough time to spent at each activity. Highly recommended!
