  A fabulous day trip! Hang, our guide was knowledgeable, spoke great english and went above and beyond to entertain us all. The other crew were also very accomodating and service of drinks were continous throughout the day. Great organisation all round. Highly recommend this tour The lunch was great and the boat ride very comfortable.

  It was an excellent trip. Kayaking, swimming, and exploring the fishing village were all great activities. Ninh is a wonderful tour guide. Lunch was great and the other tourists were nice to meet.

  Had an absolutely amazing time with Ninh. Such a great guide and great management from the company. Would highly recommend! Worth the price and more. We’ll never forget this day.

  We went on a one-day boat trip to see the Cat Ba Islands. Not only did we see those beautiful natural wonders, but we also did so many fun activities like swimming, kayaking, and visiting fishing villages. We had a delicious lunch on the boat with plenty of options. There was seafood, chicken and pork, as well as vegetarian and vegan choices & everything was so yummy! I also want to highlight our guide Ben, who was amazing and made this day so fun and special for us. Ben, if you’re reading this, you’re full of life and love, you are the best!!!

  My husband and I had a lovely day doing this day tour with our tour guide Hang. Hang was a great guide giving us lots of interesting facts throughout the day with lots of energy and a great sense of humour and even gave us a magic show on the way back to Cat Ba! A big highlight for us was that for lots of the day we were in much quieter and less touristed areas, often with no other boats around which meant we could really enjoy the bay. We also appreciated the relatively small group size and generally more relaxed atmosphere than some of the other busy and rowdy boats we saw. Lunch was delicious and plentiful! One of the main reasons we also booked with Cat Ba express was that they do not go to Monkey Island as many of the others seem to. Instead we stopped for a couple of short swimming breaks, kayaking, and a fishing village. My only slight niggle from the day was when the boat from Cat Ba Ecotourist pulled up right next to us during our first swimming stop and started blaring our their music beach party style, which felt a little out of place, but each to their own I suppose. Not a criticism of Cat Ba Ventures though. There's not much they can do about other companies and once we had everyone back on the boat they made sure we were soon under way again and back to a bit of peace and quiet. It was also a shame to see rubbish in the water, but Hang did explain later in the day about how the fish farms used to use polystyrene to help with floatation but now they use floating plastic barrels. All on all a really great day out and very worth the slightly higher price than some of the other tours out there. Although we were keen to see Lan Ha and Halong Bay on our trip, I'll admit that we were a little hesitant about a boat tour and were worried it would too crowded to enjoy, however I can gladly say that Cat Ba Ventures and Hang ensured that we had a great experience. We would definitely recommend!

  The tour is honestly amazing. Our guide Hang is a pure and funny mind. He made the tour by himself, because of his knowledge we managed to avoid the crowded moments during the kayaking. We also visited a floating farm. I definelty recommend, and we appreciated Hang's amazing mood

  We had an amazing 2 day tour with Ben. The two (one each day) kayaking trips through Ha long we're incredible and our tour guide provide us with lots of interesting information. And not just about Ha long, but also about so many other interesting topics. The sleep boat was amazing too. Nice beds. Good food. And a small group of people made us feel home in Ha long.

  The tour of Lan Ha and Ha Long Bay was very nice and impressive. Hang, our tour guide, was very sympathetic and could tell a lot about the scenery and life of the locals. Lunch was great too. Everything was well planned and there was never any uncertainty about the process.
