OK, the pick up time from our hotel (Desert Gardens) was 5.45am but absolutely worth the early morning. Lucia was our driver, tour guide, breakfast provider and showed infinite patience with our group of 13 of varying walking speeds (not to mention photo stops). The walk is anti-clockwise so we walked for about 40 mins from the car park, each armed with a nifty SEIT satchel containing our breakfast, thus walking to meet the rising sun. First stop was to sit and watch the changing colours of the rock, along with Lucia explaining native stories attached to unique features of the rock. The entire walk is 10.5kms following the path around Uluru (no fear of getting lost but Lucia was excellent about keeping our little group moving, with frequent rest stops and two public bathroom stops). There aren't many explanations or photos of the SEIT breakfast but the satchel included a small flask of hot water, zip lock bag with disposable spoon, tea bag, instant coffee and sugar sachet, a fruit cup, small container of orange juice, another small container of milk, a pouch of muesli, two small Anzac cookies, a muesli bar and 500ml bottle of water. At our second bathroom stop, we happily ate more of the breakfast supplies (less to carry, really). One gets hot, dusty, footsore and tired, but Lucia dropped us back at our respective hotels and it was only 11.45am! Just in time to wash up in our hotel room and head to the hotel's bistro for lunch. All in all, an excellent half day tour, a full walk (trek) around Uluru and really seeing all of the rock's geographic features that photos don't do justice.

This walk was well worth the money to hear from a guide the history of this great creation. I would highly recommend to anyone seeing this amazing site!

We traveled to celebrate my wife's birthday. We had the adventure of seeing rain—and what rain!—for almost two days at Uluru. Everyone told us that rain like this hadn't been seen in decades...and that it threatened to ruin our vacation. The sunset tour we had booked was canceled. We weren't discouraged and managed to book a sunrise tour the next day. This time, everything worked out perfectly, and we were able to celebrate my love's birthday in a magical, solemn, and ethereal place. Everyone should visit Uluru at least once in their lifetime.

Already booked from Germany and extremely curious if everything works. Offered was a small group with breakfast. The itinerary says it should start at 05:00. Upon arrival at the hotel, this date was changed to 5:15. Still been at the meeting point at 04:50. Here was a rather large group of people waiting for a guided tour. There was a big surprise - should it be a small group -. When a big bus pulled up at 05:00 and I was allowed to know that this is not our tour, I was reassured. Punctually at 05:15 a sprinter bus pulled up, and we only save the two who were picked up here. Then 2 more stops and we were with 6 people and two guides on the way. TOP SMALL GROUP. Under professional guidance with breakfast we started. The whole path is level and easy to tackle. Recommended is: Enough to drink, fly protection for the head, sunscreen. The tour has fully met our expectations and we can only recommend it.

This was such a great event! Started on time with pick up at the hotel and a quick drive to the base of the rock. The entire walk took just over 4 hours, and our guide took us to water falls, caves, pools. Uluru is an entire environment of its own. We also heard stories from aboriginal legends that brought the rock to life. Highly suggest. A long but easy walk, along very flat land.

This was a good tour experience, and the tour guide was very informative. The site was wet because of unusual rainfall in the area but the guide made it comfortable and easy to get around that issue.
