Interesting hike around base of Uluru. Our tour guide Trent was very respectful of the rock and its significant to local indigenous people. He set a reasonable pace for the 12k/7.5m hike and stopped often to share information. A simple breakfast was provided in trek bags that we carried.

It was an early morning start so be prepared with warm clothes (layer up ) we thought it would warm up quite early but a lot was in shade so still very cool. Guides were very knowledgeable and breakfast was adequate very basic but nice enough. The walk was an easy 10km all very flat. A must to do as you hear about all aspects of the rock ❤️

It was amazing to get up close and see all the crevices and marks in the rock that you don’t see in photos or from a distance. The walk is flat and on a marked path, so easy to follow. Our guide Max was very knowledgeable and told us various stories at certain places around the rock. My only criticism was that sometimes he started talking before all the group was present and some information was missed.
