5.00Our family booked this tour online to do on our first full day in Iceland. Lalli, one of the owners, and the 50 something in line to be the King of Denmark (take the tour to hear the rest of the story), was our guide for the afternoon. His knowledge of Icelandic history and the way he tells it is engaging and fascinating. The walk and talk is well paced, with a number of stops to delve further into the history- or lack thereof - (again take the tour to hear about that). If you think “I can’t possibly walk for 2.5 hours without eating or going to the washroom!” Well, Lalli and Funky Iceland have you covered (take the tour to find out)! I would highly recommend the tour early in your trip if you want to hear the history, see downtown Reykjavik and perhaps get some financial advice (take the tour for that advice)! Great Tour! 5.00The walking tour with Lalli was really informative and fun. He presented the history of Reykjavik and the Icelanders in a way that made it very entertaining and memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed it and learned quite a bit. He also gave us a lot of great tips for our stay (how to save money) and sites/places to visit. He's a wealth of knowledge and really personable! Would highly recommend!

5.00An absolutely fantastic walking tour. We very rarely leave reviews, but Lalli’s Funky Icelandic Tour was so special. His enthusiasm and passion for his homeland is delightful. We learnt so much about the history and culture of the country in a really informative , storytelling and fun way, and even better in chronological order! Even in the February rain it is a tour not to be missed.

5.00In general I do not do reviews. However, Lalli’s Funky Icelandic Tour is vey special. If you are going to spend any time in Iceland, and are interested in understanding the history of the country and how it got to be the way it is today, this tour is absolutely essential. Lalli is charming and knowledgeable. He has organized the tour in a way that is at the same time enjoyable, informative and comprehensive. We learned so much about Iceland that we had no idea about, and came away from the tour with a much deeper understanding of the history, and the culture. Do not miss this tour!

5.00My girlfriend and I joined the 10am tour and thoroughly enjoyed our Funky Iceland history tour with Lalli! The storytelling and chronological history was told in an incredibly engaging manner that’s perfect to retain the interesting information. It’s the best way to start your trip in Iceland and get the full story of its creation, settlement, and all the way up to present day. It also really helps to get familiar with the layout of Reykjavik. Highly recommend for anyone! It’s well paced with breaks and moments to sit, warm up, and use the bathroom (as well as having a snack!). Our 10am tour ended at 12.30pm sharp. Hope so many more people can experience the storytelling from Lalli, spread the word, and come away feeling excited + inspired to see the world with an open mind 😊

5.00I cannot stress how much we enjoyed this tour. We landed in Iceland at 6am and did the 10am walking tour to help us stay awake. I think it very nice to learn the history & local tips on the first day of the trip. I went with my my husband and two teenagers, my teenagers were not excited about it, afterwards, they said how thankful they were I booked it. They loved the info Lolli told us. He is very kind, knowledgeable and funny. Book it!
