Noelle was our guide. She was full of informative and interesting history, and lots of fun too. She shared her vast knowledge of the area: facts, figures, dates, details were all at the ready in her memory. It's obvious she has worked hard to master this body of information and apparently, she continues to do research. Especially interesting to me was her knowledge of architectural styles and details of some of the buildings we saw. Turns out--in addition to being a top-notch historian, she has a degree in architectural restoration. Not pretentious at all, she answered questions of all kinds with candor, twice saying, "That's a great question. I don't know the answer, but here's my guess." I really appreciate someone with great knowledge who at the same time, just wants people to understand, learn and enjoy the experience.

Started a little late due to a miscommunication, but that was okay. Noelle is a fantastic guide. She knows her Galveston history! Great time to walk around & learn about 1900 hurricane. Excellent history in Galveston!

Go early to find a spot to park or go in the railroad museum parking and buy a pass for. We did and enjoyed the museum after our tour

Galveston’s history was well represented, explained in context and differentiated between fact and lore. Friendly and warm guide helped us understand the city’s origins, growth as the “Wall Street of the West” and impact of the fateful hurricane of 1900. A stop at the Tremont House Hotel provided a water & restroom break. Excellent experience!

Larry, our tour guide, was very informative. He took us to several places out of the heat! He gave us some interesting history about early Galveston that we weren’t aware of. I highly recommend this tour!

The history of Galveston is so fantastic, our guide made it come alive. Great stops well placed in the shade and cooled insides, and the guide personalized the tour for our needs. My daughter doesn’t like ghost stories so he made sure to tell the stories in a way that made her feel safe.
