1859 Ashton Villa
The extremely wealthy eccentric Betty Brown’s spirit is forever roaming the elegant halls of Ashton Villa. Many have seen Betty wearing a turquoise dress and carrying a fan during lavish event held at the mansion. Even death can’t keep Betty from being the life of the party…and scare the guests half to death.
One of over 200 historical markers on the island, this is the former residence of Olga Samaroff who is known to still haunt the home until this day.

5.00Our guide was personable and knowledgeable. I love all the history you learn on these tours. We walked for about an hour through the surrounding neighborhood. Our group consisted of 10 people.

5.00Tyler was a great tour guide! He merged history and the paranormal very well. The historic buildings were gorgeous and it was very interesting to learn about the history behind them. We also got to see Charlie the cat!

5.00Dave was a VERY excellent story teller, every time he talked he kept us engaged. He was so animated and fun to listen to. And when he spoke you could tell he was being himself and that made it feel less like he was a stranger. All in all it was a blast and having Dave be our guide was so fun!
This is a must see tour for Galveston!

5.00Me and my boyfriend had the honor of touring with Tyler during the historic Galveston tour. As Houstonian’s we have always heard stories about Galveston and frequently visit the island but this was our first tour. Tyler is a great mix of humerus and informative. We will definitely be returning again this was a 10/10 experience. There was so much we learned and took away from this experience. Thank you for the amazing tour!
