Klis Fortress

Fortress was built on an inaccessible steep cliff at the passage between mountain massifs Kozjak and Mosor. Given its strategic importance and its role in Croatian history, it was one of the most important forts in the country. In vain did Croats ask Christian European rulers to resist Ottoman invasion together. On this place you are going to visit Klis fortress, Game of Thrones was film there. By accompanying of official tour guide you are going to learn about history of Dalmati region and generaly history of Croatia. In fortress we are going to see museum of Croatian army - Uskoci and you learn something about them. Uskoci defend all Europe from invasion of Osman - Turkish army. This tour last about 1:30 h and you have 30 min free time to relax and take foto of Split city, the view from the fortress is wonderful and you can see the whole of Split and its surroundings and take foto of Klis fortress. Gata

After Klis fortress we drive to Gata villige to visit the place where "Poljička republic" was esteblish it last about 30 min. Arounde 12: 30 we come to Gata and a local guide will be waiting for us there, who will take us to the church where the Poljica museum is located, and when we arrive at the museum, he will tell the whole story about the life and customs of the people who lived in that area, as well as the political arrangement, which is really special considering the period in which it occurred. In the museum, the guide will tell everything about the history of the Poljica Republic, the exhibition artifacts that are there, but also about the way of preparing a special dish _ Soparnika - a dish that is unique in the world. Tour in museum will last arounde 1:30 min and afther that we going to see nature and houses in that small village of Gata owith a beautiful view of the Cetina river canyon with free time of 30 min. At 14:30 am we go to Tugare to Soparnik and wine tasting.
