Gettysburg Heritage Center
A visit to the Gettysburg Battlefield is not complete without stopping at the Gettysburg Heritage Center Museum. The tour begins at either the Heritage Center or the National Park Visitor Center. If you’re not at either location yet, head over now. From there, we’ll follow the official Auto Tour route. Note: The tour is over 19 mile long per tour, with more than 60+ audio stories per tour, and takes about 1-2 hours to complete. Buy once, use for one year! Ideal for extended visits and return trips over the next 12 months.
As we continue driving, dawn breaks on the first day of battle. At McPherson's Ridge, Union and Confederate armies clash and generals on both sides order their regiments into place. We'll be able to imagine the movements of the battle as we look out over the ridge.

5.00We were originally planning on taking a bus tour but decided on this instead. We’re so glad that we did. We drive a camper van and it was perfect. We were able to stop wherever we wanted and travel at our own pace. The access to the tour app was easy and the price point was great. We both really enjoyed the historic knowledge.

5.00This was a really fun way to experience the battlefield as a family. We could go at our own pace. We really enjoyed the commentary along the way. The app is helpful, it tells you where to go and which way to turn etc. As many times as we have been through Gettysburg we never took a tour. This was a fun and easy way of doing it. We saw a lot of things that we never even knew were around.

5.00We all loved the history of Gettysburg, especially my 9 year old grandson. He kept saying it was “The BEST day of his life”! The wide smile on his face at seeing the battlefield’s, cannons and monuments was priceless. We visited in October and it was beautiful weather and the trees changing colors were stunning. We will be back!

5.00In our opinion, this was an excellent interactive way to experience the Gettysburg Battlefield. We played it over our car speakers and it guided us through the 3 day Battle events in order directing us through the route and story with a thorough account of the events in vivid detail. We were able to follow along at our pace, dig into more details about a place on the route or skip parts if we desired. It took us 3 hours and I highly recommend if you love history and are interested (how ever much) in this subject. The scenery was beautiful as well, a beautifully solemn place.
