Welcome to the Belgian City of Ghent! Just take a look at how old, beautiful, and surprisingly small Ghent is. It once rivaled Paris, so why didn't it become one of the European capitals? Discover the answer on a captivating stroll through the city with audioguide on your smartphone.
We'll meander through narrow streets, refresh ourselves along the quays, and admire the churches and towers. I'll show you how to distinguish ancient buildings from fakes, as Ghent has quite a few of them. To avoid turning our excursion into a history lesson, I'll share city legends and stories with you. We'll delve into topics like Belgians, their penchant for folk rebellion, chocolate and fries, and their incredible ability to speak three languages. And, of course, I can't leave out Belgian beer!

Interesting visit, from the historical and cultural point of view, and "statistical" that also takes us outside the center of Ghent.

We met our guide near St Michael’s Bridge, close to the hostel. Our guide was delightful, engaging, and knew his city and its history well. He shared many entertaining stories about the city and its evolution from a market square to the city that it is today. Our guide wore a nooses around his neck, symbolic of the strong spirit and pride of Ghent. USA Sisters

We were able to take the 2. Do not activate person. It was also very difficult to get in. The 3-D navigation was not clear.

We downloaded the app and got prompt assistance by email when requested. The guide itself was very interesting and informative. Using our mobile phones we could track our route and identify locations from the photos included. We soon got the hang of it. It was also possible to listen to it again later on.

The audio guide for Ghent was a perfect way to explore the city! It led me through the city’s historic center, pointing out places like the castle, Saint Bavo’s Cathedral, and the Graslei. The guide was very well-organized, with just the right amount of detail. I loved being able to wander through the city at my own pace and learn more about its history without feeling rushed. If you’re planning to explore Ghent, I highly recommend using an audio guide.

Easy to follow route, great because you can go at your own space and skip items or places you don’t care to see or visit.
