Ghorepani Ghandruk Trek is the most famous route in the southern foothills of the Annapurna massif. From the rustic Gurung villages to stunning landscapes, this trek offers everything you can ask for. Moreover, overnight stops at homestays will provide you with an exciting insight into the local Gurung culture. All in all, the easy trail, grand natural beauty, and ethnicity.
At the same time preparation day, we explore Kathmandu which is one of the historical cities in Nepal and home to many of the cultural UNESCO heritage sites. Kathmandu day tour takes a day to complete and offers the Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square.
The trek is 10 days long and starts with a drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. The trek heads north as you trek past Ulleri to reach Ghorepani village. From Poonhill, you get to see the sunrise over the mountains in Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range. Machhapuchhre (6997 m), Mardi Himal (5553 m), and Lamjung Himal (7454 m).

Your arrival in Kathmandu will be marked by landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). A company representative of Himalayan Adventure Treks & Tours will receive you and transfer you to your hotel. Evening you can meet the participants and the trek members. This drive will take most of our morning time after breakfast leaving much of the afternoon to get a warming glimpse of Pokhara Valley and fall in love with its ethereal beauty. Pokhara is the tourist’s paradise full of natural as well as cultural heritage sites such as lakes, caves, Buddhist and Hindu temples along with the magnificent views of mountains. You can observe the glistening white peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Evening you can walk around the Fewa lake. You can also visit the Tal Barahai Temple (Island Temple) and boating in Lake. Stay overnight at hotel in Pokhara.

The journey begins with a 1.5-hour scenic drive from Pokhara to Nayapul (1050m), showcasing views of the Annapurna range and lush countryside. From Nayapul, you start a 4-5 hour trek, first walking gently to Birethanti (1025m) and then ascending gradually to Tikhedhunga (1577m). The final stretch involves a steep climb up 3,200 stone steps to reach Ulleri (1827m). Upon arrival, you'll stay in a local teahouse, enjoy a hearty dinner, and take in the panoramic mountain views. Meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are provided throughout the day.

The trek from Ulleri (1827m) to Ghorepani (2860m) takes about 5-6 hours, covering an elevation gain of 1033 meters. The trail ascends through lush rhododendron forests, passing through the villages of Banthanti and Nangethanti. After lunch in Nangethanti, you continue climbing until you reach Ghorepani, known for its stunning views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The day includes meals (B/L/D) and offers beautiful scenery and a rewarding trekking experience.

Today is one of the most important days of the Ghorepani poonhill trek and the best part of the trek. The total duration of the trek for the day is about 6-7 hours. Early morning hike to Poon Hill (3210m) allows you to enjoy the sunrise amazing view over Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Tukuche Peak (6920m), Nilgiri (6940m), Varaha Shikhar (7847m), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna South (7219m), Annapurna III (7855m), Machhapuchhare (6993m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Annapurna II (7937m), Lamjung Himal (6931m) and other numerous snowcapped mountain peaks. After breakfast, we continue our trek to another beautiful Tadapani village. En-route, you will frequently see waterfalls, rocks, wild animals, local birds, and green vegetation. Stay overnight at lodge.
Trek From Tadapani to Pokhara via Ghandruk (1950m) 7-8 Hours. (B/L)

It is an easy descent all the way, passing through the dense forest of oak, rhododendrons, and fir. Today is the easy and short walk but you will have enough time to explore the Ghandruk village during the day time. This is one of the popular destinations for bird lovers. Ghandruk is a picturesque Gurung village famous for its culture and traditional local houses and warm hospitality. You can enjoy the great mountains views and the Gurung settlements. After lunch at Ghandruk we continue our trek to Pokhara. Your trek is a steep descent following the stone staircase to Kimbu (Beehive). Kimbu or Beehive is located at the elevation of 1200 meters on the bank of Modi Khola. Following the river with deep valley and pony trail. Last meal on the Birethati (1025m) enjoying the river view then drove back to Pokhara by Taxi from Nayapul around one and a half-hour drive.

On the way, you will head up to Damauli, Dumre, Muglin, and Kurintar, where Nepal's first cable car joins the Manakamana Temple. From Naubishe you climb up to Thankot, the gateway to the capital city of Kathmandu. Evening you can do shopping in Thamel for your friends & family. Evening we will celebrate the farewell dinner at an authentic Nepalese restaurant with a cultural performance.

5.00Last month we did the Ghorepani-Poonhill trek with my family including 10 years daughter, we had a great experience with Himalayan Adventure treks, Our guide Badri was incredible, knowledgeable, helpful and very honest. Definitely we will come back again in near feature to do the Mardi Himal Base camp trek.

5.00It’s our first time to Nepal & we did trekking. While still in our own city, Bhagwat proactively answered all our questions via chat. This set our minds at ease & helped prepare us mentally for our trip. During our trekking, Badri guided us patiently & took good care of us, fill us in with all sorts of information & knowledge of the Nepal mountains. Thanks & we had a good adventure! 5.00We did a 8D Nepal trip incl 4Dtrek to Poon hill with them. Very Well-organized, budget friendly and always reachable for help. We had a helpful guide, Mr. Gomboo sherpa and porter for the trek. Had the nicest local food along the trek with best sunrise views on Poon hill. The day tour of Nepal was also very good. Highly recommended!

5.00A kind of impromptu that turned out to be one of the best personal experiences I've had! Our guide Prakash was great and patient! Carrying a lot of baggage on his back and easily traversing the terrain while we were struggling says a lot! He made sure we were well tended to and also well informed about the different locations and the environment that we were at. Can't wait to go back again!

5.00This was a great trek for beginners and those on a tight schedule. Prakash was our guide, a humble, patient and friendly man, was fun to be around and told us a lot about the trail. He was kind to introduce us to the chef of best momos on the mountain. The guesthouse on the mountain was very cute, providing a delicious dinner around the indoor stove (it gets cold on the warmest days) and breakfast with stunning views. Overall, a great company that offers tours, hiking and treks for all scenarios and levels of experience. Very knowledgeable of the country and eager to help. 10/10

5.00I had an absolutely amazing experience with this company. Everything from even before the trip started, planning details over email, to the last day having Masala tea with Bhagwat, the owner of the agency, who came to the hotel to say bye after an amazing 8 day experience. No detail was too small for this team, they were very responsive, diligent, accommodated to adjustments along the way, and just generally a pleasure to work with. The whole trip went smoothly. Finally, big kudos to Prakash, my guide in the Point Hill trek, who was outstanding. He was very knowledgeable, attentive, and accommodating, always having my enjoyment and safety as his #1 prio. I would definitely want to work with this company again or recommend them to any friends traveling to Nepal.

5.00It was short and sweet trek which made us to had a wonderful and great adventure lasted for 10 days. On the same time it was great oppurtunity to see the world heritage site in kathmandu.Our guide prakash was very professional knows many things about Annapurna trek.our journey started with beautiful place called nayapul which lead us to ghorepani (poonhill). early in the morning where the awesome sunrise leaded us to start for tadapani after poonhill view point. we now are at the final point returning back to kathmandu visiting Ghandruk which was very close to ABC.
