• Good tour as walking up would have been a no go..

  The trip was very good and the guide fun and knowledgeable. The only disappointment...and we knew this....is that it only lasts 2 hours. It doesn't allow for much time to see the caves and tunnels. There was a lot of good information in the WW11 tunnels but not enough time to take it all in.

  Great excursion but rushed. 1/2 hour late leaving from bus depot because of lack of buses/ driver. Didn't have any time to eat. Our driver was great at explaining the area .

  I was very disappointed with this experience. We booked the Rock Tour + WWII Tunnels through the BuyTickets website. The tour itself covered the advertised locations, but the time allowed at each stop was very limited and felt rushed. The biggest issue was the WWII Tunnels visit. Based on how the rest of the tour operated, we naturally expected the bus to stop for a period of time so visitors could explore the tunnels and then continue the tour together. To our surprise, when we arrived at the entrance, we were informed that anyone wishing to visit the tunnels would have to remain there and make their own way back to the city centre on foot afterwards. At no point during the booking process was it clearly stated that the WWII Tunnels stop was optional, that the bus would not wait, or that returning would require walking back independently. This raises an important question: what exactly is the difference between this tour and the standard Rock Tour? Visiting the WWII Tunnels was especially important for my father, who was a soldier himself. Unfortunately, due to his age, walking all the way back was simply not possible for him. We even considered taking a taxi just to make the visit possible, but we were quoted £10 per person, which felt unreasonable given the situation. Overall, the lack of clear information and communication significantly affected our experience.

  This place is worth visiting to admire what human capacity can design and create. However, it serves, in my humble opinion, to document even how the fighters lived inside these damp, dark, cold tunnels ... seeing where what was the hospital is located, made me shudder thinking about who, already wounded, had to be treated there. However, there are many interesting finds to view. A veto is just a blast from the recent past.

  The Sunborn Yacht Hotel where we were staying booked the tour of The Rock with the WW11 tunnels on our behalf. We started the tour at Midway car park/ bus station, we were slightly delayed setting off, but our guide Peter a local Gibraltarian soon got us on the road and was very pleasant and informative. There were lots of photo opportunities and the weather was definitely on our side. Europa point (10 minutes stop) with a fabulous view over to Africa was stunning, St Michael's cave (20/25 minutes stop) although extremely busy was amazing and the Apes were more than happy to oblige infront of the camera. Our final stop was the war tunnels (25 minutes stop). Fascinating to see but far too rushed to see it all in the allocated time. Having previously visited similar tunnels in Jersey, which took a good few hours to take it all in we were disappointed we literally had to rush through, missing out on a lot of information. I would highly recommend the tour and if you get Peter you won't be disappointed BUT it is very rushed in my opinion.

  

  

  

• Speed tour of Gibraltar.. Bland !

  The name says it all. The trip was late leaving and then we flew around the sites of Gibraltar. Short stop offs at some key sites but little time to explore. All over in two hours

  We enjoyed the tour stops. Our driver/guide Peter was very friendly and knowledgable.

  Get off in good time as the meeting place can be a little difficult to find. Unfortunately, we had to wait for half an hour for the buses to arrive for our trip, so we were delayed. But the driver was a really good guide.

  The bus an hour late. Rushed throughout the tour 20 minutes in the tunnels not long enough. I would not recommend this tour to anyone.

  Sorry I was quite disappointed with this tour. It is advertised as being around two and a half hours but the reality was one hour forty minutes which is a massive difference. Everything was super rushed and that’s why I’m so disappointed. We paid £120 for two tickets only to spend 15 minutes at St Michael’s Mount and 25 minutes in the tunnels. We spent 10 minutes by a lighthouse/ viewing point which was absolutely fine but the rest of it was rushed. Shame as the guide was informative.
