This trip was amazing and Sarah our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and so friendly. We had a good amount of time to wander throughout Monet's gardens and you could actually recognize the locations of many of his paintings To walk through Monet's house was really special but it took my breath away to stand where he once stood to paint his water lily series. It was great being able to see some of his works and to be able to take pics. My only quibble is that I didn't realize that when we were given a time to meet after wandering in the garden we wouldn't be given time to shop in the amazing gift shop. The drive through Giverny was picturesque but it would have been nice to have a bit of time to take photos of some of the really old buildings. Next was the cooking class where we participated in the meal which was delicious. This class wasn't as much for learning as it was assisting with recipes I had never tried before. The other thing is that the food that was prepared wasn't made up of Monet's favourites . It was explained by our delightful chef Stephanie that Monet's favourites would take too long to make in the time that we had. Nonetheless it was a really nice break in the day and the food was noteworthy. On to the museum where I was quite in awe to see the wonderful paintings. The museum was more homey and less crowded than large museums. Don't make the mistake of taking pics. This day was certainly a highlight of my whole time in Paris and the UK. I would recommend the tour to everyone most whole-heartedly.
