For the Rush Seeking Traveler. This tour is suited for those that have some recreational vehicle experience. You will be provided with a powerful Yamaha Viper snowmobile or similar, a three-cylinder 1000cc machine with approximately 140 horsepower. These snowmobiles have more than double the displacement that we offer in our other tours. These performance snowmobiles are single seated mountain machine monsters capable of literally all snowy terrains.
More Private
We do not operate the glacier rush tours with our regular tours and therefore, you will be able to travel faster, further and experience more. Our professional guides will tailor your trip according to weather and terrain and you will experience the glacier-like the locals do on their own performance machines.
Our friendly and fun-loving guides will give you instructions on how to operate the snowmobile and go over the safety procedures before you set off into the winter wonderland.

Glacier Rush Snowmobiling tour Wilderness snowmobiling on Langjökull, Europe’s second-largest glacier on our most powerful snowmobiles, Yamaha Vipers. The snowmobiles offered in this tour pack more than double the horsepower than the snowmobiles used in our regular tours. This tour has a higher pace and greater thrill for those that want to get the blood pumping. This tour is always run in smaller groups.

5.00Amazing experience. We booked the private tour to have a bit more of freedom than the guided for bigger groups and to have a more adventurous experience speeding up a bit more with the bikes. Just the ride to the camp in one of those prepared buses to go on the snow was very fun. Our guide tour Gabriel was amazing with us, he gave us some flexibility for slightly longer stop to make some videos. It is a bit pricey, but worth every cent. We will definitely repeat if we visit the island again. If I only would have a BUT, is the duration of it. Only 20-30 min more would have been great. The stop was short and the longer you stop the more time you sacrifice riding.

5.00Extra sports experience, With an excellent guide, vigilant with everyone, We did not want the ride too quiet for two on snowmobile, we were not disappointed! A good dose of adrenaline, especially since the harsh weather conditions were there! Too bad we couldn't see the glacier because it was snowing, To anyone who likes speed a little bit, this is for you!

5.00We did the Glacier Rush snowmobile tour with Mountaineers of Iceland and it exceeded every expectation. The scenery alone is worth it, riding across a vast Icelandic glacier feels like being on another planet entirely. But what truly made the day special was our guide, Nico. Nico brought an energy and genuine passion to the experience that you just can't fake. He was knowledgeable, attentive, and had a way of making me and my partner feel taken care of while still keeping things exciting. He went above and beyond at every turn, and his enthusiasm was completely contagious. If you're visiting Iceland and debating whether to book this, don't hesitate. Ask for Nico if you can. Five stars isn't enough.

5.00My husband and I did the glacier rush tour, which was basically a private tour with our tour guide Niko! We had a wonderful time- he was very friendly and informative. Would highly recommend booking with this company and doing this tour.

5.00I can't speak highly enough about this experience! It was my favorite "activity" during our entire week in Iceland! I'd give the entire staff high marks for their professionalism and customer service. BEAUTIFUL! EXCITING! AWE-INSPIRING scenery! Gabriel did such a good job helping my wife who was a little less "experienced" and comfortable on this particular trip. Niko was excellent as our main "guide" for the trip! Fun, yet safe & attentive! We were fortunate to have beautiful sunny weather. It made the top of the glacier unbelievably scenic. The "Glacier Rush" experience was nice b/c we all got to drive our own snowmobile. It was nice that on our particular outing there were only 7(9) of us (5 of my family, 2 others, and Niko and Gabriel), so it seemed so personal, with Gabriel helping with photos even. Gabriel drove the "monster bus" and we felt so safe. It's a quite scenic drive from Gulfoss meeting spot.

5.00This was hands down one of the highlights of our Iceland trip. We’re a group of 10 from Singapore, and while we had already done a snowmobile tour in Tromsø, this glacier experience in Iceland was on a completely different level — truly unmatched. The views were unreal, the ride was thrilling, and everything felt well-organised and safe. Huge thank you to Edgar for being such a fantastic host. Highly, highly recommended!
