Thingvellir National Park
Head to Thingvellir National Park, where you learn about how it lies within a volcanically active area. It's also home to the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Straddle two continents while you walk between the plates.
Laugarvatn
Laugarvatn sits next to a beautiful lake of the same name in a geothermally active area. The plumes of super-heated vapor billowing into the air in this area are used by the locals to bake rye bread in the ground!

5.00We have just returned from an amazing few days in Iceland, and this trip was on our last day. What a way to end it. Firstly, I assumed this was a large group on a coach, but it was a pleasant surprise to find it was a small group tour. Our driver and guide Anastasia was fantastic and informative, I loved hearing the stories and facts as we drove around on this tour, and she was incredibly knowledgeable and funny. We had plenty of time at all the stops, and saw everything we set out to see. She provided us all with crampons which was a bonus and a lifesaver at a few of the places we visited. We finished the trip with a visit to the blue lagoon, and I could have spent all evening here. I found the surrounding area fascinating, with Anastasia's commentary about the lava fields and local seismic activity. Thank you for a fascinating, action packed day!

5.00We did this tour the first week in February and our guide Pavel I believe was excellent. We had plenty of time to see the sights and he was entertaining, enthusiastic and not a dull moment. We chose the hvammsvik hot springs and it was a great way to end the day. Highly recommended anything by Nice Travel.

5.00Did our tour with Christina, she was brilliant she gave us and the rest of our group a detailed tour of the golden circle ! So many interesting places we visited during the day no just the main locations! Would definitely recommend, we will be back !

5.00Entertaining and informative tour with our guide Dominika who provided guests with a brief history of each site explaining the geology interspersed with local music and personal stories. Observed the incredible tectonic rift at Thingvellir, the breathtakingly frozen Gullfoss waterfall, steam vents and geysers including Stokkur water spout and finally a relaxing visit to the world famous Blue Lagoon. Definitely recommended.

5.00We did the tour without the lagoon visit, getting picked up near our hotel around 8:45. Our guide (Þórdís, hope I spelled that right 🤞) was very entertaining and knowledgeable, and her funny stories added to the overall experience. This sights and locations included on the tour are stunning (even in the winter when blowing a gale) and being in a small group was a plus - even if you bump into the big tour groups at some places. I would thoroughly recommend this tour, book it, you won’t regret it.
