All of our tour guides are Bay Area Natives, which will help you understand what it’s like to grow up in SF and now live here as grown ups with our own families. You will enjoy an introduction to San Francisco on this 5 to 6 hour tour that includes Neighborhoods like Chinatown, North Beach, Pacific Heights and a trip across the Golden Gate Bridge to Muir Woods National Monument. You'll be driven around the city to see its diverse neighborhoods and geography, stopping several times for photo ops. At Muir Woods, admire the towering redwood trees, and visit the waterfront town of Sausalito for lunch (own expense). Works great for people coming from cruise ships. You cannot book the Alcatraz option under 4 days in advance.

In order to visit Alcatraz, you must choose the Alcatraz Option. If you do not select the Alcatraz option, we will not be able to provide admission for you to Alcatraz.

Our ticket availability for Alcatraz visits is limited, and unfortunately, we are unable to provide any extra accommodations. If the Alcatraz option is not available, it means that all tickets have been sold out.

Day Tour + Alcatraz Admission

Official Alactraz Tour : After the "SF-Woods-Sausalito" part of the tour, you will be dropped off at Alcatraz Landing where you will catch the ferry.
Duration: 3 hours: The Alcatraz Audio tour is around 90 minutes, you have an option to stay longer or take the ferry back.
Alcatraz Ferry: You will take a ferry to and from Alcatraz Island.

I forgot our tour guides name but he was beyond great. Funny and very informative. He made our trip so much better. He needs a raise! He was taking pics for people and giving us recommendations based on his experiences. I feel so bad I forgot his name but he was the single father with glasses. He was fantastic!

I give this tour 500 stars. The tour itself and the information was a 10/10 experience, especially hearing it from a born and raised local, Brendan. The collection of locations was perfect for a day trip and as a woman traveling solo I felt super safe! Get on this tour you won’t regret it! - On top of that our driver was generous enough to drop me off at my hotel and when I left my phone behind on accident, he turned around his schedule and brought it back.

This was the second tour around San Francisco that we’ve had within the year. There was very little overlap between the two which was nice. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate with a haze that didn’t clear up and a cool dampness throughout the day. The tour size was 22 which filled up the minibus which was clean and reasonably comfortable. Our guide, Per ( pronounced ’pair’), was the driver as well. He did an excellent job and was very personable. Bottled water was provided with assorted snacks such as Doritos, Goldfish and Cheese-its. Muir Woods was beautiful and impressive, well worth the time spent ( around one hour and 15 minutes). Lunch in Sausalito was delicious but pricey.

It was a great day. Per was so knowledgeable and he dropped us off at key points and we could take photos. Would defo recommend this tour if you’re visiting. We saw a lot of the city with the time we had and then finished off at Alcatraz.

The tour provided a great intro to the SF (Embarcadero, Chinatown, North Beach and restaurant recommendations) as well as some fantastic stops from which to view the Golden Gate Bridge. Muir Woods was stunning and we had a lovely lunch and stroll around Sausalito. Per was a great host with a good sense of humour, and went out of his way to offer further SF site-seeing options for after the tour.

Brendan, our tour guide, was absolutely knowledgeable, funny, and all around a great guy to take us where we needed to go! The tour had so much more to offer than we even thought imaginable. There were chips and snacks, water, and a very personable good time. The only recommendation as a customer is to other customers to make sure that they are on time back to the van! We would take this tour again in a heartbeat! Our first day in San Francisco was a little disheartening as we took a wrong turn on a street. However, this tour changed our entire outlook.

The tour was great. Per was a fantastic tour guide. The whole tour was worth it, got to see a lot of the city and learned some history. Muir Woods was okay, I could've done without it though. Anyways, overall a good tour.
