Kyaiktiyo Pagoda

Your excursion starts in the morning time. During your scenic drive to Kyaiktiyo, you gain insight into the life of people living in the countryside. After a short tea break in Bago, you depart straight to Kyaiktiyo (Kinpun base camp). At the base camp, you join an adventurous ride in a public open truck to reach the Golden Rock. Arriving on the top of the hill, you have plenty of time to not only admire the great view of the mountain landscape but especially the legendary Golden Rock, which your guide provides interesting information about. After sightseeing and arriving at the Kin Pun base camp again, you head back to Yangon.

We spent a wonderful and very interesting day with our guide Win Lat Aung and our driver Kyaw Zaw. They were already before the meeting time in the hotel lobby. On our way we stopped at the military cemetery and at a local restaurant for breakfast. They explained us a lot about Myanmar, the culture, religion and the local people. Also at the Golden Rock Lat gave us a lot of interesting information and showed us good points for taking photos. On the way back we stopped at a very beautiful and good restaurant and at last at a coffee shop. It was a long but very very nice and interesting day. We had a lot of fun with the 2 guys. Thank you for showing us your beautiful country!
