This tour of Gongju and Buyeo was exceptional and perfectly organized. The transportation was seamless, and our guide was both passionate and professional, making Baekje Kingdom history truly come alive. Exploring Gongsanseong Fortress and the serene temple ruins felt like stepping back in time, away from the usual crowds. As a foreign traveler, I was especially grateful for the guide’s thoughtfulness regarding my dietary needs; they arranged a delicious, authentic lotus-leaf rice lunch that felt very respectful. If you want a meaningful, UNESCO-filled day trip with a personal touch, I highly recommend this tour!

I really enjoyed the Gongju and Buyeo Historical Tour (Baekje Kingdom) from Seoul. Everything was very well organized from the beginning, and meeting at Daejeon Station was easy and stress-free. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and explained Baekje history in a clear and engaging way, without it ever feeling like a lecture. One of the most powerful moments of the tour was learning about the region’s tragic history while standing before the cliffs where Korean women are said to have taken their own lives rather than fall into the hands of the enemy. Seeing these cliffs in person was deeply moving, and the heavy, sorrowful atmosphere can still be felt there, which made the historical narrative even more impactful. Walking along Gongsanseong Fortress and visiting the historical sites in Buyeo felt calm, authentic, and far removed from Seoul’s crowds. The museums and temple ruins added valuable historical context, and the schedule was well balanced, with enough free time at each stop to explore, reflect, and take photos. Lunch was another highlight. We tried local dishes, including lotus-leaf rice, which was simple yet very authentic and delicious. As a Muslim traveler, I had mentioned my dietary sensitivities in advance, and the guide was extremely attentive and respectful, carefully arranging suitable food options, which made the experience very comfortable. Transportation throughout the day was smooth, including the train journey to and from Seoul and the comfortable vehicle used during the tour. Overall, this tour is an excellent choice for travelers who want a deeper understanding of Korean history and culture, enjoy UNESCO heritage sites, and are looking for a peaceful and well-organized day trip outside Seoul without the stress of planning everything themselves.

I joined the Gongju and Buyeo Historical Tour with Dream Journey Korea, and it was an excellent experience. Unlike many tours that focus mainly on the Joseon era, this tour dives into ancient Korean history, specifically the Baekje Kingdom of the Three Kingdoms period. The itinerary included UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Gongsanseong Fortress, Gongju National Museum, the Baekje Royal Tombs, Buyeo National Museum (home to the Gilt-Bronze Incense Burner), and Jeongnimsaji Temple Site. The route was well organized and explained Baekje history in a clear, chronological way. The guide was highly professional, engaging, and attentive to all details, including dietary needs. I have traveled with this company before and, once again, everything was perfectly organized. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in Korean history beyond the Joseon era.

I recently joined the Gongju and Buyeo Historical Tour organized by Dream Journey Korea, and it was a truly enriching experience. Many historical tours in Korea tend to focus mainly on the Joseon era and modern history, often leaving earlier periods unexplored. This tour, however, is a wonderful exception. It offers a rare opportunity to dive into Korea’s ancient past by taking participants back to the Three Kingdoms period, allowing for a deeper understanding of the history and daily life of the Baekje Kingdom. The itinerary includes some of the most significant Baekje-era sites, all of which are listed as UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites. The tour began at Gongju Gongsanseong Fortress, where we enjoyed stunning natural scenery alongside historical exploration. This was followed by a visit to the Gongju National Museum, where we viewed artifacts excavated from Baekje royal tombs, and then to the Royal Tombs themselves, which brought the history vividly to life. Next, we visited the Buyeo National Museum, home to the famous Gilt-Bronze Incense Burner, considered one of Korea’s national treasures. The tour also included Buyeo Jeongnimsaji Temple Site, featuring a stone pagoda and an ancient stone Buddha statue that have survived from Baekje times. The itinerary was thoughtfully designed to present the history of the Baekje Kingdom in a clear, chronological, and easy-to-understand way, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I strongly recommend this tour to anyone interested in early Korean history who wants to explore beyond the Joseon era. As a helpful tip for travelers: if you are participating in the Visit Korean Heritage Campaign and collecting stamps in your visitor passport, be sure to bring it along. This tour allows you to collect four additional heritage stamps in one trip. Lastly, I would like to highlight the professionalism of the guide. He took excellent care of every detail, explained Korean history in an engaging and accessible manner, and thoughtfully considered all participants’ dietary needs. I have traveled with Dream Journey Korea before, and once again, the organization was flawless. I joined this tour with complete confidence, knowing everything would be well planned and smoothly conducted, and my expectations were fully met.

This is a great history tour. If you want to learn about early history of Korea, especially the 3 Kingdom period, then this tour is perfect! I loved the place we went for lunch! We got to try the local dish of lotus wrapped rice. Very delicious! The guide arrange our travel to and from Seoul via train with ease and the vehicle we used from Daejeon was comfortable. Would be great for anyone wanting to get out and explore other areas of Korea.

I traveled with Dream Journey Korea for multiple day tours, including the Gongju & Buyeo Baekje Kingdom Historical Tour and the Jeonju Hanok Village Tour, and what stood out most was the company’s consistency across different experiences. Rather than offering rushed, checklist-style trips, Dream Journey Korea focuses on structured storytelling and thoughtful pacing. Each tour felt carefully planned, with clear schedules, comfortable transportation, and entrance fees already included, allowing travelers to focus fully on the experience instead of logistics. On the Gongju and Buyeo tour, the historical depth was impressive. Visiting UNESCO World Heritage sites like Gongsanseong Fortress, Baekje Royal Tombs, Jeongnimsaji Temple Site, and both Gongju and Buyeo National Museums felt purposeful rather than overwhelming. The explanations provided helped connect locations into a coherent narrative of the Baekje Kingdom, especially through highlights like the Great Gilt-Bronze Incense Burner of Baekje, which was explained in a way that made its cultural and artistic importance clear even to non-experts. The Jeonju Hanok Village tour, while very different in theme, showed the same level of organization and care. The experience was relaxed and immersive, giving enough time to explore traditional hanok architecture, local food culture, and historical streets without feeling rushed or overly commercialized. It balanced guided structure with personal free time well. Across both tours, transportation was clean and air-conditioned, timing was managed efficiently, and the overall atmosphere felt professional but friendly. A particularly positive detail was the flexibility shown when time allowed, such as adding extra sites or extending visits, something that reflects experience rather than rigid scheduling. Overall, Dream Journey Korea is a reliable choice for travelers who want meaningful cultural tours from Seoul without the stress of self-planning. Their tours suit people who value historical context, smooth logistics, and a calm, well-paced travel style over fast tourism. Recommended for solo travelers, international visitors, and anyone interested in Korea’s heritage beyond the surface level.
