The Haute Provence offers impressive Canyons, the Gorges du Verdon, dug by the river of the same name. You will discover the huge lake of Sainte Croix and stop in magical places in the heart of nature.

You will enjoy the Grand Canyon of France, along with a visit to the 16th century village Castellane (gateway to the Gorges of the Verdon, nestled at the foot of its famous Roc) and pottery-centric village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie (the Capital of Fayence) and famous lavender fields (June-July).

Castellane

You will discover Castellane, a remarkable historical, cultural and sporting heritage. The village is today classified "city of character". It is located in a privileged environment, at the gates of the site of the Gorges du Verdon. Located on Route Napoleon and on the roads of lavender, the old village is also partly surrounded by the ramparts of the XIV century.

Mario was an EXCEPTIONAL tour guide. He picked us up right on time and made sure we were well prepared. He made us girls traveling together feel super safe and helped us immerse ourselves into the experience and culture. His depth of historical knowledge is awe-inspiring and we could each tell he is truly passionate about what he does. I will be recommending this excursion, specifically with Mario as tour guide to all of my friends and hope to return to the South of France soon!!! At the end of the tour he sent us a video he created using footage gathered from our day which brought tears of joy to my eyes. I will forever cherish this dear memory. I also appreciate Mario's flexibility as he expertly helped us navigate unexpected rain and made sure it did not negatively impact our experience whatsoever! This was definitely a highlight of my trip and well worth the money!!
