Basilica of the Holy Blood

The Basilica of the Holy Blood has an impressive facade with gold-colored statues. You reach the upper chapel in neo-Gothic style via a special staircase. There is also an elevator. You don't want to miss this! The lower chapel is completely different. It surprises with the thick walls, small windows and the unique atmosphere. The centuries-old town hall is located on the same square. This building with the slender towers is an absolute eye-catcher. Here the guide will tell you about the statues and coats of arms.

Our guide Luc was great. He provided lots of information on the history of Bruges and the entire Flemish region. Then walking part of the tour began in the center square and continued to outer parts of Bruges with a very scenic boat ride in between.

Met our guide Patrick in the Centre Square of Bruges - as arranged. A small group of us - 12 - were then provided with an excellent overview of all things Bruges. Clearly a very knowledgeable guide Patrick took us along a ‘through the ages guide’ to Bruges - its founding / it challenges and it building back to what it is today. Relevant to all of the group - from senior members to teenage he made sure his delivery was appropriate to all - well done - highly recommend
