Come and experience the magic of nature in the Lower Hudson Valley in a whole new way. We'll explore the forest and connect with nature through a slow-paced, easeful sensory exploration based on the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku ("forest bathing").
Q: I go hiking or walking in nature regularly already. What makes a guided forest bathing experience different?
A: With a guide, you can leave all the mental effort behind and truly relax into the experience, knowing that I will be keeping track of the time, place/trail, leading you every step of the way, and facilitating a safe group experience. I will prompt you along the way with sensory-based invitations that allow you to explore the forest from a new perspective and refocus on being present and grounded in the natural environment itself. Additionally, I will facilitate group sharing opportunities where we have the chance to practice active listening and hold space for others’ experiences in an intentional, enriching way.

I will provide something for you to sit on, a warm blanket during the cold seasons, and bug spray as needed. I also carry a basic first aid kit with me.

We'll explore the forest and connect with nature through a slow-paced, easeful sensory exploration based on the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku ("forest bathing"). Decades of studies have discovered a wide range of health benefits associated with this practice, including stress relief, better sleep, lowered blood pressure and inflammation, and improved immunity. Your trained and certified guide will lead the way, offering optional invitations designed to help you step into your own authentic way of being in the outdoors. When we intentionally slow ourselves down and awaken our senses, we can find a sense of connection with parts of ourselves and the natural world that we may not have even noticed we were missing. *IMPORTANT: the minimum group size is 3. If you book for less than 3 people, it will be cancelled and refunded.

Forest therapy walks are so regenerative and soothing. I felt genuinely destressed, energized, and in a better mood. It was so centering and grounding, there have been so many times in the last few years when anxiety and stress were through the roof, and this is the perfecet antidote. And, Fru is an amazing guide! She is very welcoming and fun and made it easy to relax into the experience.
