During this trip, you can rest assured because the guide will take care of all the logistics, including picking up and dropping off guests at the hotel, having a good lunch, and learning about Hue's culture and history. 07:00 – 7:30 am: Our car and tour guide will pick you up at your hotel reception in Hoi An and collect visitors in Da Nang from 08:00 – 08:30 am. Start your journey to Hue by crossing one of the most beautiful coastal roads in the world, the Hai Van Pass or the Hai Van Tunnel. You will have 30 minutes to stop at the peak and 5-10 minutes to take photos at Lap An Lagoon, which is the highlight of the beautiful view of Lang Co beach.

5.00We had a nice experience on this tour and we recommend it to anyone interested in visiting Hue. The small group setting made it more enjoyable and the itinerary covered several historical sites that provided a great overview of Vietnam’s ancient history. Our guide Ryan was attentive and shared interesting explanations throughout the trip. The lunch provided was also very good. Overall, it was a well-organized and interesting activity.

3.00Interesting to see Vietnam has an almost full replica of Beijing’s Forbidden City. The imperial Citadel in Hue even shares the same name “Forbidden City” for the whole complex and “太和殿“ as the King’s office. It’s even more interesting to see “emperor” was used in all official descriptions, while all tour guides use “king” as the description because the “king” was subservient to the “emperors” in Ming and Ching dynasty in modern day China. While the architecture is not as impressive, it was an interesting and shocking experience.
