This intimate small-group tour (7 people or less) takes you on a scenic drive into Haleakalā National Park. You will learn about Maui’s rich geological history, along with the unique flora and fauna that thrive in this stunning environment. As you ascend to the summit, prepare to witness a breathtaking sunset from one of the most beautiful vantage points on the island. After the sun dips below the horizon, the real magic begins as you gaze at the night sky through a telescope, marveling at the incredible stars and planets visible from the clearest skies on Maui. Warm outerwear, comfy chairs, and hot drinks are provided to ensure your comfort as you soak in the natural wonders around you. Night photography assistance provided for your phone or camera.

Excellent evening trip. Beautiful sunset. Clear skies with geat views of the Milky Way. Trish had warm parkas and hot chocolate as it was cold. Also able to see the exhibit at the summit and the Silver Swords that were in bloom.

Oh. My. Stars! This tour was fantastic! Our guide, Trish, drove us up to the summit of Haleakala - an adventure in itself as the windy and narrow road took us up above the clouds. From there we watched the sunset and the sky turn orange and green. Once it was dark, Trish set up her telescope and we saw the Moon, Saturn, and the Andromeda Galaxy up close! The stars and Milky Way were easy to see without the telescope. An amazing experience with an extremely experienced guide.

Amazing tour! We had a great time with Trish! She thought of everything to make this tour special! The sunset view is spectacular and the stars were beautiful too! Trish is super sweet and very knowledgeable! The hot chocolate was a great touch! I highly recommend this tour!

Trisha was a wonderful guide for our tour of Haleakalā. She had all of the supplies needed to keep us warm and comfortable while viewing the spectacular sunset and stars. We loved learning about the plants, the volcano and the islands. Thank you Trish for a memorable experience!

This tour was INCREDIBLE - quite out of this world! The true star of the tour was our wonderful guide Trish. She was so knowledgeable on everything related to Maui, astronomy, and Haleakala. She was so kind and came prepared with winter jackets, gloves, and hot chocolate for us to stay warm (it gets very cold up on top of Haleakala). It was a little cloudy and almost a full moon but thanks to Trish’s telescope, we were still able to see some stars, Saturn, and the moon. This tour was definitely a highlight of our honeymoon to Maui - would definitely recommend and would book again with Trish!

The ride up was just gorgeous. Our guide, Trish, offered lots of interesting information about the land and history. When we got to the top Trish had nice, warm jackets and snow pants along with gloves and hats for everyone. We needed them! Unfortunately some unexpected bad weather moved in that hindered our view, but we kept going and saw (and smelled!) some Silver Sword flowers. The weather cleared some on the way down and we stopped for some incredible stargazing. Trish was so knowledgeable. All in all it was quite an adventure despite the weather.

It's cold at the top so dress warm. Our guide was exceptionally kind, knowledgeable, and professional. We learned so much. Of everything we did in Maui, this was by far the most memorable and impactful. We'll never forget this night!

Trish was super knowledgeable and accommodating and really made the whole experience totally enjoyable. After watching a beautiful sunset, she set up her telescope and this is what really made the evening amazing. We got to see so many stars and planets that we have never been able to see before. We would do this one again
Highly recommend this tour, AND you don't have to get up crazy early!

This tour was awesome! Trish thought of everything. After going to the pick up point, Trish drove us and another couple in her full size van thru the clouds to the top of Haleakala. She had different size coats and gloves and folding chairs. She had pants and hats for when it is colder/windier. We watched the sun set above the clouds from a great vantage point. Then we went back to the van and she got out the telescope. As everyone else was leaving, we were looking at the stars. We saw the rings on Saturn! The moon was nearly full and we could see every crater. She had hot chocolate and hot tea and had even made chili and rice. It was a great tour. It was excellent that she provides outerwear to be cozy and warm without us having to bring coats, etc on our vacation.
