Andrassy Avenue
Andrássy Avenue is a boulevard in Budapest, dating back to 1872. It links the city center with the Heroes' square. Lined with spectacular Neo-renaissance mansions and townhouses featuring fine facades and interiors, it was recognised as a World Heritage Site in 2002. It is also one of Budapest's main shopping streets, with fine cafes, restaurants, theatres, Embassies and luxury boutiques.
Heroes' Square
One of the major squares in Budapest, noted for its iconic statue complex featuring the Seven chieftains of the Hungarians and other important Hungarian national leaders. , as well as the Memorial Stone of Heroes, It hosts the Museum of Fine Arts and the Art Gallery. The square has played an important part in contemporary Hungarian history and has been a host to many political events, such as the reburial of Imre Nagy in 1989.

5.00An informative tour that blends history, gastronomy, and all the key viewpoints — comfortably from the car, with punctuality and even a good bottle of water included. We stopped at several major landmarks for photos and short stories about each place, which really helped bring Budapest’s history to life. The guide was flexible with the itinerary and managed to offer a clear snapshot of the city’s charm in a short amount of time. If you’re on a tight schedule, this tour covers a lot — fast, intense, and still comfortable. Definitely worth it.

Not only did he show us all the sites, he answered all of our questions in a wide range of topics including Hungary’s history, current economic/political environment, geographic neighbors, population, trends, and so much more. And all in the comfort of his air conditioned car. Highly recommend him for an immersive half day tour!
