Fort Frederick
Fort Frederick and Fort Matthew are two historic forts perched atop Richmond Hill in St. George’s, Grenada, offering stunning panoramic views of the capital, Grand Anse Beach, and the southern coast. Fort Frederick, built by the French in 1779, is known as the “backward-facing fort” due to its strategic inland design to defend against land attacks. Just a short walk away, Fort Matthew is Grenada’s largest fort, with a fascinating past as a military hospital and later a mental institution. Both sites blend rich colonial history with breathtaking scenery, making them must-see stops for culture and photo lovers alike.
GCNA Grenada Nutmeg
The Grenada Co-operative Nutmeg Association (GCNA) nutmeg plants are at the heart of the island’s identity as the “Spice Isle.” These thriving trees produce the fragrant nutmeg seed and its bright red aril, known as mace. At GCNA processing stations, you can see how nutmeg is harvested, dried, sorted, and prepared for export — a tradition that has powered Grenada’s economy for over a century.

5.00Izzy has a wonderful knowledge of Grenada, it’s history and geography, she is a real font of Island knowledge. A friend and I took a pre arranged tour with Izzy, she was open and helpful to work the tour about what you want to see or what she feels is worth you seeing. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend anyone visiting Grenada to take at least one tour with Izzy

5.00Easy is AMAZING! We started our vacation with a tour with Easy and it was perfect! She is so incredibly knowledgeable about Grenada and all things Grenada! She was accommodating and very engaging! My three teenagers and I all loved her! Highly recommend!!!

5.00Outstanding tour! We wanted to see more of the country, experience things unique to Grenada, learn more about the country and its history and of course see the Mona Monkeys! Izzy delivered all this and so much more. We got to learn about the nutmeg processing and sample nutmeg items. We learned about cocoa processing and had samples. Along the drive, Izzy was full of facts and information with a great sense of humor. Not once did her delivery seem insincere. My daughter and I had an amazing time with Izzy and Easy Taxi and Tours. I will be telling all my friends to use her when visiting Grenada!

5.00We had a great group tour with Isobel and her team. She is knowledgeable and kind and patient especially since we had some elderly people in our group. She took us to great places to buy Souvenirs and got us back to our Cruise ship in a timely manner. Overall a great tour of Grenada and its history, will definitely take tour with her again :)

5.00We did a half-day tour with two kids, and Izzy was absolutely amazing. She is incredibly kids-friendly, patient, and genuinely caring. The children felt comfortable and happy the entire time. Izzy is very knowledgeable and informative, sharing so many interesting things about Grenada while keeping the tour light, funny, and engaging. She was also extremely flexible, adjusting the tour to our pace and interests effortlessly. What really stood out was how customer-oriented she is - always checking in, making sure everyone was enjoying themselves, and going the extra mile to create a wonderful experience. We can highly recommend Izzy to anyone visiting Grenada, especially families. This tour was truly a highlight of our stay!
