From Nice, you will embark on a comfortable semi-rigid boat. The captain will ensure your safety and guide you to the most magical places. On the first part of the tour, you will sail towards to the Mala cave, after the creek of Saint Jean Cap Ferrat. A real jewel of nature, the peninsula of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat is known for its preserved and authentic environment. You can stop and jump into the inviting waters and swim. As you reach Villefranche, disembark for 45 minutes to discover the port, the village of a thousand colors, its citadel and old town and break for refreshments. Lastly, we will return to the port in Nice to end your tour.

Uncomfortable Boat with Only a Brief Cave Stop

2.00The boat was uncomfortable, more like a banana boat, and the “cave” stop was barely a hole in the wall—just a quick view. The boat then stopped briefly elsewhere where people snorkeled for about 15-20 minutes. Climbing back onto the boat after snorkeling was extremely challenging—especially for guests over 60—because the ladder was steep and narrow. Most of the tour was spent pointing out houses along the coast. Villefranche was just a short walk with little to see. There were 12 of us on the tour, and everyone seemed disappointed. Overall, it did not match the description or expectations.

4.00Tour guide was great- knowledgeable and entertaining. Great tour if you want to see the coast and caves from the water. Enough time to see villefranche since it is a small town. I chose to stay in villefranche and not take the boat back to Nice since I wanted more time to explore. Tour is perfect if you want something quick; book a longer tour if you want more time on the water or time in villefranche.

4.00This tour is a nice way to explore some of the shores of the French Rivera, near Nice, in a short amount of time. We were able to swim in the Mediterranean and shop/eat/explore in the village of Villafranche-sur-mer. It’s cost effective and our guide, Jean Baptiste, was engaging, funny and easy-going. Was a good add-on to our stay in Nice.
