5.00I spent a very interesting, informative and enjoyable afternoon with Hassane driving and walking around Beirut. I don't normally seek guided tours when I'm in a city I don't know, but given all that there is to understand about both the city and the country, I thought I would on this ccassion. There is so much to take in and absorb, and the historical, cultural and political subtleties and nuances made it all the more fascinating. In late Dec 2024, it didn't feel like there were too many other 'western tourists' in Beirut, but it at all times felt totally safe both during the day and evening/night.. I would recommend visiting the city / country, and if you do, the guided walking trip will make it all the more worthwhile. Kieran (Ireland)
