The true experience for this tour begins on entering the ancient city of Olympia. We asked our tour operator, Nassos, to arrange a professional tour guide at the ancient site. This could not have been a better experience. Our guide, "Domi" (short for Dominica) was a "gift" on our trip. She was extremely well versed on this ancient site where the Olympic games originated and was thorough and interesting with her descriptions and antidotal stories of how this site developed, operated, as well as the ancient people who worked at this site, competed at this site, and those Greeks who were entertained at this site. We also toured the museum which honestly rivals the museum at the Acropolis. Afterwards, Domi took us to a local Taverna for a delicious lunch; again, truly and authentic Olympian experience. We were able to shop a bit and are having several local delicacies shipped home. Both Domi and Nassos were with us on the return to the cruise port. From beginning to end, this was a great experience.

If you're looking for an unforgettable experience in Olympia, Greece, I highly recommend this excursion! Our driver, Nassus, made the day special with his warm hospitality, fascinating knowledge of the area, and personal touch. The scenic drive through the Peloponnese region was stunning, and Nassus’s local insights brought the history of ancient Olympia to life. A highlight of the day was when we stopped by Nassus’s own restaurant for a break. The food was delicious, fresh, and made with local ingredients, offering a perfect moment of relaxation. After exploring the ruins and the museum, Nassus even surprised us with a thoughtful gift, a bottle of local wine, making the experience feel even more personal and meaningful. This excursion wasn't just a tour, it was a chance to connect with the heart of Greece. Thank you, Nassus, for such a memorable day!

We had an absolutely wonderful shore excursion with Nassos as our guide! As an Olympia native, he brought incredible local knowledge and insights that really enhanced our experience. Nassos was both friendly and professional throughout the tour, making everyone feel welcome and engaged. The excursion itself was excellent, well-organized, informative, and perfectly paced. My child was completely captivated the entire time, which is always a great sign! Nassos has a real talent for connecting with visitors of all ages and sharing his passion for the area. I would highly recommend this shore excursion to anyone visiting the port. The combination of Nassos's expertise, genuine enthusiasm, and local perspective made this one of the highlights of our trip. Five stars!

I'm fine. New car, very comfortable and ample space - The very nice driver has his own restaurant - The food was very good and cheap there - after visiting Olympia he drove us to a small very nice beach. On Viator's site I searched for German tours and they were suggested to me. She's in English, though, where I'm scared at first. He then gave us a German booklet. Because everything in Olympia is written in German, you can also go well without a tour guide. The ticket costs EUR 20.00 per person.
