For bookings of 1 person, you may be in a group of a maximum of 4 people. All bookings of 2 or more will have their own private guide.
DISCLAIMER: Online tickets typically sell out months in advance but the Cultural Office in Aguas Calientes reserves 1000 tickets per day for in-person purchase. If online tickets are sold out, you will need to arrive very early in the morning the day BEFORE your tour to present your passport to reserve your ticket IN-PERSON. It is possible the ministry of culture will require arriving 2 days in advanced depending on how busy it is. Our team is in Aguas Calientes monitoring the situation and we will advise you on when you should arrive. We will keep you informed on your booking in case you need to change any hotel or train tickets. Your guide will meet you in Aguas Calientes and help you with this process.

5.00We had a great tour with Nilton! He managed to explain the history and was able to answer all our individual questions about the Inca and Machu Picchu. He took amazing pictures of us and adjusted the time to two hours cause we needed to catch the train.

5.00I wanted to thank Juan Carlos for his responsiveness, as I received my tickets in advance and was able to have my guide even though my date was moved up, and that too at the last minute. He found a solution for me. Thank you to my guide Percy, as even though he was notified at the last minute, he was great. The explanations were top-notch. Despite the language barrier, I understood. Thank you for the beautiful photos.

This was really helpful since the process can be really difficult during this season and on short notice. We had an incredible experience touring Machu Picchu with Percy as our guide. His knowledge of the history, culture, and significance of the site was impressive, and he brought the ancient city to life with fascinating stories and insights. Percy was friendly, professional, and patient, taking the time to answer all of our questions while making sure everyone in the group felt engaged. He did an exceptional job not only sharing the fascinating history, culture, and traditions of his people, but also helping us capture incredible photographs and guiding us to the best viewpoints for truly breathtaking scenery. Wonderful experience at Machu Picchu

5.00Overall I had a wonderful experience. I took the train to Aguas Calientes and at the train station somebody was waiting for me and helped me purchase my Machu Picchu ticket for the next day. Since my tour at Machu Picchu started at 6.00 am my guide - Percy - met me at 5.00 am in front of my hostal. Together we walked to the bus station. After arriving at and entering the Machu Pichhu site we went to a view point to watch the sunrise. The whole tour Percy would tell me very interessting facts about the history and culture of Machu Picchu and the Incas. He was a great guide. He even helped me take some really nice pictures since he knew all the spots with the good views. After the tour we took the bus back to Aguas Calientes. I would really recommend anyone to book this tour - it was such a special day. The 6.00 am ticket was and is the right choice since you get to watch the sunrise and it is definitely not as busy yet. It is a 100% worth it to get up this early.
