This adventure takes place immersed in Tahoe National Forest located only minutes from Palisades Tahoe and Alpine Meadows. From private access, we follow a personal trail through the woods to one of our all-time favorite viewpoints. Throughout the hike Iconic scenery of Alpine Meadows, Olympic Valley and the Sierra Crest can be enjoyed in this sparsely populated zone, allowing for an uninterrupted immersive experience.

Join us on a half-day guided snowshoeing trip through Lake Tahoe National Forest. On this winter snowshoe hike, we will be hiking with snowshoes, immersing ourselves in the forest on a homemade secluded winter trail. The terrain climbs 800 feet up the mountain in elevation to one of our favorite views and our halfway mark, Pauly's Point which overlooks world-renowned ski resorts of Alpine Meadows and Palisades Tahoe. Snowshoeing to the Palisades Tahoe overlook is quite an accomplishment and usually takes about 1 - 1.5 hours of hiking through the Sierra Nevada Mountain landscape. Once to the top, your Snowshoe Tahoe guide will have a variety of snacks to pass around. Snacks, photo opportunities, and conversations about the history and surrounding area are enjoyed as we take a break enjoying the Palisades Tahoe and Sierra Nevada scenery. High snowy alpine meadows are meandered through as our snowshoeing adventure continues down the mountain, completing a loop as we reach the end. Due to the seclusion and private snowshoe trail, seeing another person is highly unlikely. So, step off the beaten path and allow us to show you a true mountain outing you won’t surely forget.

5.00Seth was a great guide. The location (Chickadee Ridge) was scenic and the birds were fun to interact with. We really appreciated hearing all the information on the ecosystem, Tahoe community, and back country -- this made the tour extra special. Also, the group was able to decide on whether to continue a little further and the pacing and distance was just right.

5.00I can’t remember the name of my guide. I did this tour a few months ago but I do remember the name of his dog, Rusty. They both were the best guides ever. Rusty such a clever company (: we had a great time during the adventure.
Great trip for anyone who enjoys getting out in nature and being active!

5.00The snowshoeing tour was great. Sean was wonderful and he seemed to know exactly when the group needed a rest or want to take a picture. The scenery was spectacular and I felt like I got a great workout without being exhausted. Plus, Sean shared some interesting information and local history which was great. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who enjoys getting out in nature.

5.00My husband and I wanted to try snowshoeing together and we picked the right experience. Our guide, Diesel, was excellent with teaching us technique; guiding us through the Lake Tahoe National Forest while sharing interesting facts about the biodiversity and land formations; taking spectacular photos of us; and navigating us to amazing heights and vistas. Highly recommend!

5.00Lots of fun! It’s about a 5k hike. Straight up hill. Then straight down hill. Seth was the guide. He was really good! Such a great experience
