1.00My daughter and I were traveling for her 18th bday and pre university trip around Europe we pick Munich and one of the cities to visit Dachau and Neuschwanstein Castle. She found the cutest town Garmisch to visit too and we decided to visit the castle from there. We booked this based on the itinerary that a guide met us at the Garmisch train station and “guide” us to the castle - it was quite expensive but not knowing the language and the trains (when it goes through small towns it doesn’t stop unless you ask it to -and it’s all in German) this guide asked us to meet him in Austria and we could not figure out the stops as he changed it twice and missed getting off. Then he told us to go back to Garmisch and wouldn’t take us. We spent close to $450 to do this tour. He also changed the time to meet and IF he met us at the time we were supposed to at 825am for the 845am train none of this would have happened. He also barely spoke English himself and it is supposed to be an English speaking guide. So we never got to see the castle and still fighting with trip advisor for a full refund. They did not provide what was written. I expect a full refund. It’s unfortunate that this guide decided to set his own rules but that should not be on us and now I will not be able to see the castle which is very sad. They are sold out today and we leave tomorrow. I booked this a month ago.

5.00The drive was very scenic and our tour guide (driver) was most personable and punctual. The 1/2 day tour is a bit tight to take in bridge, castle and grounds but doable. If you want time to eat and/or drink - a full day is needed. Walking trails up and down are steep but beautiful!

2.00Tour was in German we only speak English and they would not change language even for a group of 6 Americans. AC in van did not work properly. Too expensive.

4.00Augean, our guide was very personable and knowledgeable about the history of the area. Picked us up at our hotel right on time and everything went smooth as clockwork. I would recommend this trip.
