Wieliczka Salt Mine

The historic Salt Mine is located about 10 km from Krakow and is on the first UNESCO World Heritage List (1978). The current mine was established ad the turn off 18 and 19 century (though mining history reaches antiquity here). The tourist route goes through the most interesting places in the mine that consists of 22 chambers which are connected by salt pathways of lenght about 3 km. Chambers are located at depth 64 to 135 meters underground.

Fantastic trip. The salt mine was amazing well worth it. The guide was very informative and made things enjoyable. Would recommend anyone going to Krakow to do this trip they will be amazed

Great experience from start to finish. Thomas picked us up from our hotel and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He stayed with us right up to entering the Saltmine and was outside waiting for us at the end. Would highly recommend.

Had a fantastic day with this company, pick-up from hotel at time stated when booking was made, had time to have breakfast before we went. The driver was great he contacted us on the morning of the trip to confirm time to get us, also sent a pin for going back as they have a designated car park for the Salt Mines, really easy to find. The Salt Mines was fabulous, loads of stairs and walking but was definitely worth it. Would definitely recommend this company, the experience was seamless, couldn't have asked for a better service, I'd definitely use them again 😃👍🏼

We enjoyed an excellent trip with "Poland is beautiful" tours and our driver Tomasz was a proper gentleman who could not do enough for us,he was very knowledgeable, professional and accommodating,would highly recommend.

Our lovely chauffeur, Tomasz, took very good care of us. Got us where we needed to be and had delightful conversation in the car on the way to & from our hotel. The salt mines were incredible to see and they are truly unbelievable. Must see! Highly recommend!

Tomak picked us up at our hotel in Krakow and messaged us the day before about exact pick up time and drove us to the salt mines. About 45 minutes outside of town. He then directed us to the group we’d be joining to go into the mines very efficiently. Our English speaking guide was wonderful. You’re in the mines for about 2:15 hours and learn about the salt mining dating back to the 1600’s. There are amazing full chapels with the story of Christ depicted in amazing salt carvings. Was glad to take the elevator back up!
