  My husband and I had an absolutely fantastic experience at this traditional Vietnamese knife-making workshop. Which is based in a village known for its blacksmiths / knife makers. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at ease. Our teacher, Chien, is an incredibly skilled blacksmith with multiple decades experience passed down through generations of family. His wife also helped out in parts of the course which was nice. Watching him demonstrate the traditional techniques used in the forge was fascinating, and it was inspiring to learn directly from someone with such deep expertise. He guided us through every step with patience and encouragement despite the language barrier. Mint, the translator, was equally wonderful. She was warm, friendly, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. Her clear explanations and cheerful support helped us feel comfortable right away, especially when things felt a little intimidating at first. Her English was perfect and she spoke very naturally. I was quite nervous about working with some of the tools and the forge, but both Chien and Mint were so kind and patient, taking the time to help me at every stage. My husband was a lot more gung-ho about it and they kept us both moving at a pace we were comfortable with. Thanks to their guidance, my husband and I were able to create our own beautiful, high-quality knives that we very much look forward to using in our kitchen. It was such a unique and memorable experience, combining traditional craftsmanship, hands-on learning, and genuinely lovely people. If offers you the experience to get a real insight into Vietnamese life and culture away from the typical tourist paths. We left not only with two fantastic knives but also with a deep appreciation for the skill and tradition behind Vietnamese blacksmithing. *I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone looking for an authentic, rewarding, and fun experience.   An outstanding workshop where we had the opportunity to personally try and take part in the different stages of making a knife. Throughout the process, highly skilled craftsmen guided us and ensured that the knives turned out to be high-quality, practical tools for our own kitchens at home.

  Incredible experience Mint and Chien were super nice and made it very fun. Chien made me an incredible knife and even went out of his way to do a special design for me. I would 100% recommend, you get a cool experience, a cool story, and a practical knife to go home with. Would do again

  It was a very good and involved experience that made me really appreciate Artisans and blacksmiths skills. If you want something that's hands on and to get something useful out of it this is the one for you. Daisy was amazing as our tour guide so helpful and a great host to everyone. Thank you Daisy.

  Making of the knife together with the locals, in a real blacksmith workplace was a very interesting experience. This kind of workshop I have never seen before. The female master blacksmith was very helpful and the guide knew so much about the proces that everything went super. Now I am the proud owner of a selfmade knife for in the kitchen.

The instructors were knowledgeable and passionate, making even the most challenging steps feel rewarding. ​Stepping out of the workshop with a hand-crafted knife that I built myself is a feeling I won't soon forget.
