We’ll meet you at convenient locations throughout Puerto Vallarta and Banderas Bay, then take you in private comfort to explore three charming beach towns: Lo de Marcos, Los Ayala, and Guayabitos.
Begin in Lo de Marcos, a vibrant town where you can taste authentic Mexican cocoa and stroll through colorful streets, soaking in traditional local life. Next, head to Los Ayala and discover the stunning Frideras Beach, accessible only via a short jungle walk—an untouched paradise away from the crowds.
Finish your journey in Guayabitos, where you can wander local shops, relax on the crystal-clear beach, and enjoy a delicious meal and refreshing drinks. For extra adventure, an optional visit to the beautiful Coral Island is available (additional cost).

Lo de Marcos
We will pick you up at your place to drive for approximately one hour to the coastal town of Lo de Marcos (it can be more or less depending on your location). "Lo de Marcos" is a sleepy town, with the most colorful murals in the entire area, where nature meets the typical Mexican architecture of a small beach town
Los Ayala
We will drive 20 minutes further north to reach the small town of "Los Ayala", this town is mainly visited by locals because one of the most beautiful beaches in the area is here "Frideras", we will have to walk 10 minutes along a trail through the jungle to get there.

5.00This was such a worthwhile experience! Each of the charming towns that we visited really showed a wonderful, vibrant slice of Mexican life. Each of the towns were beach – oriented, but every one of them had a very specific vibe of its own.

5.00We really enjoyed seeing these “off the beaten path“ beach communities. The vehicle was very comfortable. Each of the different beach towns was a bit different than the next.

5.00Luna Tours PV is always an excellent tour and source of great local information. This was my second tour with Alejandro, who is so friendly, knowledgeable and flexible with the itineraries, even in the moment if something isn't quite hitting the spot. Highly recommend trusting them in showing you around the area. This tour in particular was great to see some less international-touristy areas (still was busy with local tourists in the height of Christmas break) and taking a dip in a calmer ocean bay. Thanks as always, Alejandro and Luna Tours!

5.00We had two wonderful excursions with Alejandro. Our first day took us out along the coast, hiking to a waterfall, snorkeling and a delicious beach side lunch. Our second trip took us to the Botanical Gardens, El Tuito and lunch at a local restaurant. On both days Alejandro was kind, professional and incredibly knowledgeable. He tailored the day to our needs and pace, and as a family of 4 with an 11 year old and 14 year old we all had a brilliant time. He gave us the confidence to take on a hike independently which ended up being a real highlight of our holiday. I would highly recommend any excursion that Alejandro offers. All of the planning and communication was excellent.

5.00Our guide, Alejandro, helped us explore three Nayarit towns we had not visited before — Lo De Marcos, Los Ayala and Guayabitos. The first was a quiet, charming town with a town square covered with beautiful murals. The locals and expats playing pickleball were friendly. We found an art gallery with high-quality art and clothing. Alejandro introduced us to Mexicolate, a chilled bean beverage. In Los Ayala we took a short hike around the beach point to “Kissing Beach,” a gem of a cove where we snacked on fresh grilled fish. Guayabitos is a much larger city with a Sayulita-like popular beach but a little too much so. Throughout the 6-hour tour Alejandro provided tons of information. It was refreshing to share his obvious love for his country and pride in his people. Had a great lunch of ceviche and shrimp at Pineda with a beach-front view of Guayabitos. Totally recommend this outing if you are seeking a laid-back drive that you can tailor to your tastes — if you are lucky enough to meet this kind, handsome guide. Excellente!

5.00Best tour I've booked in a while. Alejandro offered some great options to tailor the day and ended up perfect. We took an extra trip to the El Cora Crocodile Sanctuary, since we didn't want as much beach time. We loved touring the small towns and villages with someone who really knew the areas. We'll be booking with these guys again ;-)

5.00We booked a private sightseeing trip of the coastal communities of Nayarit with Alejandro at Luna Tours and Hiking. Alejandro was able to arrange a custom tour of the area for my family of four. Alejandro arrived at our hotel at the arranged time and took us to Los Ayala and Guayabitos to sample some of the local street foods and have a swim at the beautiful Playa Frideras. We briefly stopped at Lo de Marcos before heading to Sayulita to check out the beach and local fare. There, Alejandro took us to an authentic Mexican restaurant where I had the best tacos of my life! Alejandro was very knowledgeable and professional and I would definitely tour with him again the next time I visit Puerto Vallarta. Thank you for a wonderful day!
