Let our guide fill you with history and tell us about the slave huts' history and the beginnings of the salt industry. Travel through the scenic countryside, learning about the 1000 steps dive site, bat caverns, natural life, flora and animals, and the Karpata Plantation, where processed aloe was originally cultivated and exported, while cruising to Bonaire's first settlement community. Rincon is thought to be the Caribbean's oldest village. Hidden away from the sight of the roving pirates along the shore in the basin of the north hills. Visit the old traditional home, which has been turned into a cultural historic museum by the original family descendants. On your route back to the ship, you'll leave Rincon and travel through the north-eastern desert-like region, which has gigantic cacti, wild donkeys, and pounding waves.

I was happy to find a half day (not small group or private) tour of Bonaire so I could see some of the island. The tour starting point was easy to find. The bus was air-conditioned and comfortable and the driver gave us some good info about the beaches and buildings we passed by. We made stops and the salt pier, white slave huts, 1000 steps, and Rincon. The salt pier stops was interesting with good photo opts and of course the large souvenirs salt rocks. Cold drinks are sold there too. The white slave huts stop was also good. At 1000 steps was had just enough time to go down the steps take pics, and come back up. I think the Rincon stop could have been shorter as the museum isn't much to look at at there are no explanations of what you're seeing anyways. The bus didn't stop near the big Rincon sign for photo ops. That might have made this last stop more worthwhile. The time was well kept so I made it back to my hotel in time for my afternoon snorkel trip. If you're short on time and not planning to rent a car this might be a good option to see the 4 highlights on this tour.

Great tour of Bonaire. Our tour guide Lucy was amazing. Learned a lot about the island. Was able to see flamingos, donkeys, and goats while on tour.

It was a good tour. The guide was very informative. I just wish the description mention that there was an option to stay at the beach. The more information the better.

Beautiful island, friendly people! Our tour guide from Bonaij Tours was amazing! He literally took us around the whole island, we saw the salt towers, the slave huts, the native animals and more. Hats off to Bonaire for keeping development low and not crowding the island with hotels. Would come here again.

Great excursion. Learn a lot about the history of the island. Visited key land marks and locations. The tour guide was also very cheerful.

Good overall introduction to Bonaire. Our guide ( Harrison) was great and gave us enough history of the island. We would recommend this excursion.

An excellent trip, Lisa was a very knowledgeable guide and also put the passengers at ease when they were walking about. We visited some amazing areas of the city and the way Lisa manoeuvred the bus was incredible. Highly recommend this tour

We just didn’t love this tour. The group was too large and the stops were not very interesting. Our tour guide was not very enthusiastic or informative about anything we saw. Pretty sure the stops were all free and we never received water or anything. We were pretty glad when it ended.
