This excursion is a wonderful experience for a nature walk in St. Kitts' main central reserve national forest! 5.00JB Taxi & Excursions was fabulous for our Wingfield Rainforest & Romney experience. Janeel provided the best level of patience and assistance for our group of hikers with varied levels of experience, comfort and ability. Their Hyundai van appeared to have just rolled out of the showroom and had super A/C. They checked every box including preparation, refreshments and facilities for cleaning up after the hike.

5.00My hike at Wingfield Estate was truly amazing. Mr. Boon’s commentary along the way was incredibly detailed and engaging. He made sure to focus on both the rich history and the unique geography of the area, giving me a deeper understanding and appreciation of the stunning landscape. What really stood out was how he went above and beyond, dropping random yet fascinating facts about the island of St. Kitts throughout the tour. His passion and knowledge made the entire experience both educational and memorable. Highly recommended!

5.00We absolutely loved the hike into the rainforest with Janeel and Sunshine! Janeel was quick to respond when we booked and made sure we came prepared, even picked us up where we were staying with no problems. Janeel had an awesome personality and was full of knowledge. We enjoyed listening to all the stories and history of the island and forest. The hike was amazing. We even chose to go to the top to the lookout where the view was breathtaking . After the hike we freshened up and drove to the Romney House where we watched a demonstration on the process of Batik and toured the shop where they had such beautiful fabrics and gifts. We were able to walk through the gardens and even saw the 400 year old tree. I especially loved that all of these things were in one scheduled trip! I highly recommend this excursion with Janeel and Sunshine, what a great day!

5.00Janeel took me and my wife on a quick but comprehensive tour of the Wingfield rain forest and Romney manor. To be clear, we were the only ones on the tour, which made it easier to interact with Janeel, but the information shared about the landscape could have been shared with 20 of us just as easy as it was to share with 2 of us. Still, it was the ability to reflect and take in the rain forest without being pressed to get from point A to point B made this a truly enjoyable and memorable experience.

5.00Janeel led us on an exceptional Rainforest Hike tour! He was very personable, knowledgeable, and we enjoyed seeing the natural beauty of St Kitts. Janeel even allowed us to customize our experience and allowed us to go to Sea Glass Beach in lieu of the Botanical Gardens. What a fabulous way to see St. Kitts!

5.00This hike had some challenging elements but was fantastic! Views and terrain were beautiful and our guides were knowledgeable and cordial; always looking out for each of the 10 members in our group. Do yourself a favor and wear tennis or running shoes in order to walk properly on the uneven terrain. Our air conditioned van was comfortable and I was grateful for it when I saw other “open air” vehicles.

5.00What an experience!!! Our tour guides Jordan and Sunshine are truly lovers of nature. They are knowledgeable and in tuned with local history and culture of the past and present people. My family had a blast!! My 7 and 8 year olds were able to keep up with the climbs uphill and down. Such a great workout too. I enjoyed every moment, from our introductions and discovering that our hiking partners (a sweet family of 4 from NJ) were from New Jersey. WE’RE FROM NY!! What are the odds. To our break at the top of the lookout enjoying locally made pastries. Thank you JB Taxi & Excursions for being a part of our memories to the beautiful island of St. Kitts. We can’t wait to be back for the waterfall hike!!

3.00The road leading up to the estate is lined with vendors. There are Zipline, and ATV tours leaving from this location. The Peter Manning Trail starts at the back of the entrance. Follow the Hiking Trail signs. Do the hike in the morning. Allow 4 hours. Bring water and food. Wear sturdy shoes. You can go with a guide, but you don't have to. It is interesting to have a look around the remnants of the old rum distillery there too. Costs $1 to use the toilet.
