Ecotourism is a way of responsible travel in which the main purpose is observing and appreciating nature and the local traditions. You'll get the chance to appreciate incredible views over Bucegi Natural Park as you'll spend a full day right in the heart of Transylvania.
Visit one of the most authentic mountain villages in Romania with amazing views over Piatra Craiului National Park, experience the Eco Trail Romania and get to observe the locals and their way of living.
This is an easy/medium 8 to 12 km trail, 400-500 m elevation height, total 5 to 6 hours hike on wide paths with no exposure or dangerous cliffs.
This trip is suitable to families or any other groups of people that can walk on various terrains for half a day.
You need to bring hiking boots and clothes that suits the outside weather, back pack, rain coat and a small snack. We also recommend to bring a hat, sun cream, ticks spray and hiking sticks.

The Transylvania Amphitheater is the name given to an ensemble of old houses, remodelled from natural materials in a very personal style, scattered among the hills, at a considerable distance from any other settlement. It is the story still being materialized of a family originating from the Republic of Moldova. They accidentally discovered the spectacular generosity of nature in the area and decided to add some comfort elements to spend weekends and holidays here. The EcoTrail route is a selection of paths and trails, of ascents and descents through forests and meadows inside the village of Moeciu de Sus. The paths are your guides to the meadows of the locals who have been taking care of this landscape for hundreds of years. Moeciu de Sus always surprises you, it makes you understand how hard the work of the villagers is in order to be able to maintain their lands, farms and take care of their animals. It’s an area filled with magic and colors, with equally impressive views. Additionally, you will spend time in nature, breathe the fresh air, and admire the preserved beauty of the place. You will love it so much that you might even want to repeat this experience.

5.00Ramona is a great guide. The hike was super divers and the views were incredible. We didn’t not have our raincoats with us so Ramona took jackets for us, so nice! The lunch was very tasty with traditional Romanian cheeses. All in all, definitely recommend to book this hike. We enjoyed ourselves so much and definitively one of the highlight of our holiday.

5.00This was an absolutely fantastic trip! The views along the ridge line of the Bucegi mountains were stunning. Ramona was an excellent guide, gave us great tips on Romanian food and knew the area very well. You get to hike through a post-card like landscape and see amazing views from the Bucegi mountains. The surrounding village had no tourists and the landscape was remote and gorgeous. Our favorite trip by far.

5.00October 31st 2021 , Done the Amfiteatrul hike, Fantastic Hike with Ramona, lots of information on route, great picnic Romanian food included. I found Romona and her company professional, punctual, and more importantly - a company you can trust. Will definitely use again when I return to Transylvania. 5 Stars all the way 🙌.

5.00This is definitely one of the hidden gems of Transylvania and a must do trip if you like hiking. We've been surrounddet all day by pastoral landscapes that maked us fell like inside an autumn picture. The path took us true large meadows, forest and beetwen local farms, was easy and truly enjoyable. Our guide guide was nice and make us fell very safe. Thank you very much Day Trips Brasov for a wonderful tour!

5.00We took this tour not knowing where it would take us, as some friends recommended it. The tour is really landscapes and our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. She was also very reliable and showed up at the meeting point exactly at the time mentioned, which is a plus. She really seemed passionate about Romania so that’s another plus from my side. If we ever come back, we’ll think about booking another tour with her.

5.00This was ana mazing trip! There were so many highlights: the hills of Transylvania, the history of this place, the friendly sheeps of villagers, the tiny cute cottagges, and the last but not least our outstanding, kind, patient, and amazig leader: Ramona! Our awsem trail crew who spoiled us with oustanding food and camaraderie. The beautiful people of Magura Village who are so generous with their history and culture. The hiking was a blast, and the views made the painting complete. Honestly I cannot think of a way this trip could have been better. We were so well caerd for and it is definitely an active adventure! Can't wait to come back for a new avdenture with Day Trips Brasov! Much love <3
