5.00We spent 16 amazing days with Abebe as our tour guide, exploring the north of Ethiopia. Starting at Danakil Depression including volcano Erta Ale and Dalol with it‘s colourful landscape was a great experience. We continued with the Gheralta region and it‘s beautiful churches in the rocks, followed by historic Aksum, Bahir Dar and Blue Nil waterfalls and Lake Tana, Gondar and 2 hiking days in Simien Nationalpark and lastly Lalibela with it‘s underground churches. We were lucky to explore the most important world heritages in Ethiopia and many historical sites. Abebe was always reliable and took good care of our safety. He is very knowledgable in religious backgrounds and historic data, speaks fluent German and even other languages like English and Italian. It was absolutely great to have Abebe as our permanent guide as we always could be sure that the program of the day has been organised well to get the most out of it. Also the additional people required for driving or cooking when we were camping were great and provided excellent food even in very simple locations. We enjoyed each single day and can fully recommend Abebe as a tour guide in Ethiopia thanks for a great experience!!!

5.00Last week I experienced a great Addis Ababa city tour. We visited the Holy Trinity Cathedral, the Ethnological Museum, the historic train station and many other interesting sights in Ethiopia’s capital. Abebe organized the tour short notice since I found time for the tour relatively spontaneously. Everything worked out very well, incl. the pick-up, lunch and transport. A special thanks to my guide Bekele who was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the sights and Ethiopia in general.
