This is an excellent tour for those who are new to Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). Our guide Luc met us at our hotel as agreed and immediately it was apparent he spoke very good English. He had a very nice comfortable, clean, air conditioned car (I'm 6'2" and there was plenty of room) Our first stop was the Reunification Palace. We were dropped right outside whilst Luc went and parked the car and purchased us some tickets. He was able to guide us around the palace and his knowledge of each room was excellent. We were then taken to an interesting Jade Pagoda where once again, Luc's knowledge of the history of the place was impressive and very informative. Luc then took us to The War Remnants Museum where he purchased our entrance tickets and as a guide he didn't have to queue (there was a separate ticket office for guides) which meant we were straight into the museum. He left us to our own devices for as long as we need to look around this shocking, emotional place. After leaving the museum he took us to central post office, again, parking right outside. Luc was happy to tailor the trip to our requirements and was flexible in where we went, he even offered to show us some other areas of HCMC at the end of the tour. Luc was great and very knowledgeable and I would 100% recommend this trip.

What you read is not necessarily what you get: there were a few changes to the tour for “unforeseen reasons”, the changes were not communicated to us until the tour started It’s not best to book this private CAR tour- the traffic is horrendous. Instead of sitting/waiting in traffic we told our guide we wanted coffee and lunch- both of the guide’s recommendations were closed. And, um, yeah, we ended the tour early- couldn’t bare to explore another boring museum with a SOFT spoken tour guide- please speak louder!
