Itinerary:
1. Auckland - Your tour starts in New Zealand’s largest city. As we drive out of the city your guide will not only set the scene for your adventure today but also point out and guide you past some of the city’s top highlights.
2. Waikato - Exiting Auckland we travel south through the stunning Waikato countryside, the most extensive farming area in the world, encountering beautiful scenery, mighty rivers, great photo opportunities, impressive mountains and several farm animals along the way.
3. Hobbiton Movie Set - Arriving at ‘Hobbiton’ you will board one of the big green Hobbiton buses for a two & a half hour fully guided tour of this amazing 12 acre movie set with a professional Hobbiton guide to ensure you get the most out of your visit. During your tour step into the lush pastures of the Shire, visit 44 hobbit holes, see amazing gardens, hear the secrets and stories about the making of the movies and enjoy a cold complimentary beverage at the famous Hobbiton pub ‘The Green Dragon Inn’.
4. Auckland - Sadly we must start to head north again but your day is not over with a fully guided return trip to Auckland including surprise stops. Depending on weather and timing our guides love doing other surprise stops. Maybe a scenic stop near a lake or the chance to try New Zealand ice creams, we love introducing you to local wildlife and animals. You will have to jump on the tour to see where you go!

5.00The Cheeky Kiwi is a fantastic way to visit Hobbiton from Auckland. The communication in the days leading up to the tour was clear and prompt. Our driver Alessandro arrived on time to the minute. He was very engaging and knowledgeable sharing many anecdotes and insights about points of interest and culture. He made our drive to and from entertaining and comfortable to include rest stops for coffee and ice cream. We had the perfect weather to tour Hobbiton and the experience lived up to the hype. The grounds were meticulously maintained, the guides were knowledgeable and enthusiastic, the operation was organized and timely. Our family highly recommends the Cheeky Kiwi tour to Hobbiton. We particularly enjoyed Alessandro's company and hospitality.

5.00Super well organised trip collection from CBD in comfortable mini bus. Beautiful drive out through countryside with comfort breaks both ways. Seamless entry to hobbiton which is incredibly well organised. It was very very busy so go off peak if you can. Having said that we had a gorgeous sunny day and enjoyed the lovely gardens of hobbiton which were in fulll bloom. Excellent tour guide on the bus (Ali) and in hobbiton (Hayden). You don’t get much time to soak things up on your now as you are always with the group so this is a mega touristy thing to do but it’s very well done. Enjoyed the complimentary drink in the green dragon too. The fully furnished hobbit house was really lovely. I’ve read all the books and it really did bring it to life with so may carefullly worked through details
