Itinerary:
1. Auckland - Your tour starts in New Zealand’s largest city. As we drive out of the city your guide will not only set the scene for your adventure today but also point out and guide you past some of the city’s top highlights.
2. Waikato - Exiting Auckland we travel south through the stunning Waikato countryside, the most extensive farming area in the world, encountering beautiful scenery, mighty rivers, great photo opportunities, impressive mountains and several farm animals along the way.
3. Hobbiton Movie Set - Arriving at ‘Hobbiton’ you will board one of the big green Hobbiton buses for a two & a half hour fully guided tour of this amazing 12 acre movie set with a professional Hobbiton guide to ensure you get the most out of your visit. During your tour step into the lush pastures of the Shire, visit 44 hobbit holes, see amazing gardens, hear the secrets and stories about the making of the movies and enjoy a cold complimentary beverage at the famous Hobbiton pub ‘The Green Dragon Inn’.
4. Auckland - Sadly we must start to head north again but your day is not over with a fully guided return trip to Auckland including surprise stops. Depending on weather and timing our guides love doing other surprise stops. Maybe a scenic stop near a lake or the chance to try New Zealand ice creams, we love introducing you to local wildlife and animals. You will have to jump on the tour to see where you go!

5.00The guides and the scenery were amazing! The attention to detail was spectacular! Had the best day ever. Now we really cannot wait for the next Hobbit movie to come out. The behinds the scene info and technology info was superior. Loved it!!!!

5.00The experience was exactly as I had hoped it would be! Everything was handled for me, and ran smoothly. Grant was fantastic! He was kind, helpful and funny. He shared his love and knowledge of Auckland with us during the drive to Hobbiton, and made sure we were all comfortable during our time together.

5.00Super great experience with Cheeky Kiwi travel, easy to book, reasonable price especially as it includes ticket and transport. Also really good communication from the team/Dave who was our driver so there was no worry about not getting the bus! Of course Hobbiton was absolutely amazing and wonderful and beautiful beyond words, and Dave made it a really smooth/easy journey for us from pick up to drop off

5.00Simon at Cheeky Kiwi was our guide and driver today and he provided the kiwi hospitality everyone enjoys with professionalism and some laughs (and music on the road home tailored for our tour group) Hobbiton itself was a beauty and the Alexanders and their staff including Mackenzie our guide and all the front of house cafe made it easy for us to enjoy every minute. 5.00This was a Wonderful tour! Our driver gave tidbits of information and upon entering the Hobbit Town road played the Music from the show. He was very good at keeping us on time and made the trip fun. Once we got there he explained where the Hobbit Town guides would pick us up. Their guides were fantastic. This trip was so worth it!!!! If you are a fan of Lord of the Rings and The Hobbits it is a MUST SEE!!!
