• What an amazing excursion meeting the community around Hoi An!

  Trang and the driver of the USA jeep met us at the hotel at the start of this lovely morning. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting people who live and work in the area where Trang translated perfectly for us. We were able to attempt making rice paper, incense and sleeping mats for ourselves (with the local people’s help); we had a go at wood carving, saw how Vietnamese coffee is made and were taken down the river in a basket boat where we were shown the coconut trees. We were able to buy items if we wanted, but no pressure was put on us at all. We had a fun filled educational day which was topped off with a lovely Vietnamese lunch. We’d highly recommend this tour!   This was a great day! We got to experience so many things in half a day! Everyone was super friendly and receptive to having tourist come to their homes! Our Guide, Trang, was absolutely wonderful. She was a wealth of information and kind, friendly and helpful. I would 100% recommend this tour.

  This is an experience, not just a tour. It is a fantastic way to see traditional village life and the opportunity to try the skills ourselves was both fun and eye-opening. Thuan is an excellent tour guide: the places visited are thoughtfully curated, he is enthusiastic about sharing his local area with tourists but in a way that also supports the villagers, the coffee and lunch stops are superb and could not be more fresh (drinking coffee from beans roasted on site, food straight from the garden). And he took and later sent a heap of photos and videos, which allowed us to be truly immersed in the experience, rather than see through our cameras. Our drivers, Long and Ky, were safe and skilful in manoeuvring the narrow lanes. This day tour was a highlight of our time in Vietnam and I highly recommend it to travellers looking for an enjoyable, authentic, and informative experience.

  Experience of a lifetime to see the rural life of Vietnamese citizens in Hoi an village. Got to see how they make local incense, rice crackers, mats, coffee, and the vegetable farm. Got to ride in a coconut basket boat and sail through the coconut lagoon. Our guide is Kha, very knowledgeable about the area and easy to talk to.   Kha was very informative and very welcoming. Really enjoyed our tour. We were able to see a lot in a very short time and he even gave us recommendations for after the tour.

  Fantastic day out in a US old army jeep Amazing tour guide Quynh, her English is impeccable and the two drivers were excellent We saw lovely countryside around Hoi An and visited lots of interesting places including how to make rice cakes, incense sticks and reed mats. Overall a great experience.Great fun.

  We had an amazing experience on this tour! Henry was an outstanding guide – extremely informative, kind, and engaging throughout the entire trip. He shared so many interesting facts and stories and made everything easy to understand and enjoyable. Our driver, Dragon, was also excellent – very professional and made us feel completely safe and comfortable the whole time. The tour took us to fantastic places, perfectly chosen, and everything was well organized. We truly felt we got the most out of the experience. We highly recommend this tour to anyone, and especially Henry and Dragon – thank you for such a memorable day!

• Fascinating tour of rural areas near Hoi An

  I loved this tour which visited some of the rural areas to see traditional crafts and activities. I am elderly and not very mobile but the guide, Quang, was great at adapting the tour to my needs and interests and at answering all my questions. I highly recommend this tour and this particular guide.

  This was one of the best tours I’ve ever experienced. We had Thuan as the guide and Long as a driver. They provided an experience that was calm, respectful of their local culture and people - showing kindness and generosity. This tour was ideal for our 4 year old child who could experience and get involved in all activities. Being a private tour meant that we could ask the questions we had, engage in conversation and take our time at each location. The meal we shared at the end was by far the best Vietnamese we’ve had thus far.

  We have an excellent tour today with Thanh! If you are interested in seeing the real Vietnam, this is the tour for you. We went to an authentic wood carver, mother of pearl inlay, incense maker and woven mat artisans. We also met a lovely man who recently lost his wife and decided to take her place showing visitors how traditional Vietnamese make rice paper for food.
