  Marina was a terrific guide providing us with an amazing Basque wine tour and a pintxos bar experience in San Sebastián that we will never forget. Along the way, she schooled us in all things Basque: geography, culture, language and, of course, history. This tour was everything that we could have hoped for.

  A great day in San Sebastián. The drive from Bilbao was spectacular, the views amazing, the countryside idyllic and vernal, the architecture kind of comically weird (the buildings are all new, but designed to appear old). Everyone seemed sophisticated, urbane, stylish. The walk along the bay was breathtaking, waves crashing dramatically along the shore. All the rumors about the food are true: everything was fresh, delicious—the restaurateurs are serious about presenting only the freshest, best cuisine. We went to four pintxo bars, and nobody was cutting any corners. Impressive. But best of all was our guide, Irene. She is knowledgeable, warm, literate, energetic, accommodating, nice, and witty.   Jon was an amazing guide! Fun and very informative. The sights we saw were great, but he was the highlight of our day! Can’t say enough good things about him.

  Fantastic tour with Irene. Probably the best tour experience I’ve ever had. From the engaging information to the selection of sites, this was just perfect. The City tours were wonderful but the stunning setting of the winery tasting took it over the top. Also the geological strata at the cliffs was incredibly interesting and beautiful. This tour operator is simply the best. Very good value for money as you are experiencing something so special.

  Jon our guide was very funny and knowledgeable. He is very familiar with San Sebastian and was able to adapt quickly when it turned out that the city happened to be overrun by tourists the day we were visiting. We also had a lovely time at Getaria exploring the fishing port and tasting Txakoli.

• Amazing things to see, eat, drink, great conversations with our guide. Above and beyond.

  Jon found out our interests and personalized the tour for us. He got us to try Sardines at a little restuarant. We visited churches becuase we have an interest in history. Took us up a maintain. We loved San Sebanstain where he tooks us to a place that locals go for Pintxos. At the Winery we ate the best tuna in oil I have ever tasted, the wine was fanstisic and we were included on a private tasting of wine down in the basement of the winery.

  Excellent ride. Irene and Jon are very nice, they knew a lot about history and very interesting everything they told me. We had a great time, the food in the cider house was delicious and the cider tasting was really fun. It was wonderful.

  This was one of the best private tours and winery experiences we have ever had. We enjoyed every part of the day. Our guide, Irene was brilliant and animated and obviously knows and loves the Basque Country. The winery experience was outstanding and the Pintxo pubs were a real treat - not only because of the food and drink, but Irene took us to small, local places where we could interact with people who live there. We definitely give Irene and this tour our highest recommendation.

  A classy, professional tour company. I have done 3 different day trips with the owner, Irene, and she is fantastic. She knows wine, food, history and culture and loves Northern Spain. Can't wait to visit Bilbao and the environs again and spend more time with her. Ultimate hospitality.
