Explore Ambergris Caye, Belize on this sailing and snorkel tour. Sailing on our 40' Sirena Azul Sailboat, you'll spend time snorkeling at Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley, where you will be in awe of sea turtles, nurse sharks, stingrays and interesting coral formations. Adequate space will be provided while onboard the Sirena Azul Sailboat for social distancing for your safety.

Hol Chan Marine Reserve
Tour begins in San Pedro Town at the pier in front of Blue Tang Inn hotel, where you will get ready for the sailing tour. Stop into the Blue Tang Inn office to get your fins, snorkel and mask. The first snorkel stop at Hol Chan Marine Reserve will take you along the reef for 45 minutes. Guided Snorkel in the Hot Chan Marine Reserve with sea turtles, stingrays, nurse sharks and living coral reef.
Shark Ray Alley
The second stop is Shark Ray Alley, where your guide will feed the nurse sharks and you can observe from the boat or view while snorkeling in the water. This is a must do tour while staying on Ambergris Caye! We require a minimum of 6 snorkelers to operate our 40' sailboat, captain and guide. If you reserve with less than 6 ppl, we will add you to other groups. If a minimum of 6 ppl cannot be put together, we will advise you of an alternate date or reserve the tour by motorboat.

3.00For the price I would definitely not do this again. You can rent a small private boat and not go packed in. We were a family of 6 and another family came too which really killed the vibe. Hol Chan is packed with people and with 11 people and a guide you can’t hear what is happening. Also the gear is not well taken care of so straps snap and the goggles fog up horribly. Since the other family was slow, we did not get to snorkel as much as our family could have. The whole thing is ridiculously rushed. If I could do it again I would find a personal guide for our group and go snorkel someplace not as crowded where you can take your time and watch the fish rather than swim a marathon fast as you can.

5.00We had an amazing experience on the Hol Chan Marine Reserve snorkel tour! From start to finish, everything was smooth, fun, and well organized. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable they made everyone feel comfortable and safe, whether you’re a beginner or more experienced with snorkelling. They provided all the equipment, which was in great condition, so we didn’t have to worry about bringing anything. The tour itself was about 3 hours, which honestly felt like the perfect amount of time not too long, but enough to fully enjoy the experience without feeling rushed or tired. The snorkelling spots were absolutely beautiful, with crystal-clear water and so much marine life to see. Swimming alongside rays, colourful fish, and even nurse sharks was unforgettable! The guides did a great job pointing out different sea creatures and making sure everyone got the most out of each stop. You can tell they really care about both the guests and preserving the environment. Overall, such a fun and memorable experience I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting San Pedro, Belize!

5.00The Hol Chan Marine Reserve snorkeling experience was absolutely unforgettable—hands down one of the most exciting and surreal adventures we’ve ever had. From the moment we got in the water, it felt like entering another world. The marine life was incredible—vibrant fish, coral, and crystal-clear water—but the true highlight was swimming with sharks. It sounds intimidating, but it was actually exhilarating and completely safe. Being that close to such powerful, graceful creatures in their natural habitat was something we’ll never forget. A huge shoutout to our guides, David and Edwin, who truly made the experience exceptional. They were knowledgeable, reassuring, and clearly passionate about the ocean. They made sure everyone felt comfortable and confident—especially during the shark swim—and did an amazing job pointing out wildlife we would have otherwise missed. If you’re even remotely considering this experience, do it. It’s thrilling, beautiful, and truly once-in-a-lifetime. We’re still talking about it!

5.00This was such a great experience and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, laid-back snorkeling excursion. The guides George and Edwin were so attentive, hilarious and kept us engaged with lots of stories. Edwin showed us tons of fish and made sure that everyone on our boat was comfortable and having a good time. What stood out to me was how attentive and incredibly helpful Edwin was with helping my mom (who is in her late 70s with limited mobility) was able to get on and off the sailboat, and helped her snorkel. She was originally going to come just for the ride, but he did everything he could to ensure that she was able to snorkel and have a great time. I am forever grateful to him for giving her this experience, this is not something you'd get with other tour guides! I highly recommend this tour to anyone coming to San Pedro. The sailing and small group also created a intimate, fun, cozy atmosphere. Thank you so much Edwin and George!

5.00We spent a wonderful afternoon on the sail boat with nine other people. The crew of 3 were more than helpful and friendly. Both of us being in our late 70’s they treated us extra special calling us Mama and Papa out of traditional respect. We totally enjoyed visiting the younger folks from all over.

5.00Enjoyed the time on the sailboat getting to the snorkel areas. Relaxing, beautiful, peaceful. Our group didn’t shark snorkel first and it was super cool to see large sharks swimming underneath us. The main snorkel area was a 10 minute sailboat ride away. Snorkeling in this area was really pretty. The water was deeper than Mexico Rocks so more fish swimming around. Our guide, Edwin, pointed out lots of fish species, we saw turtles, stingray, and a skate. And then a fun ride back to the dock. Great morning!!

5.00One of the best excursions I've ever gone on. Our guides Sean, Edwin (Bad Buddha) and Captain George were super attentive and provided lots of information about the marine life. One of my friends couldn't get the breathing for snorkeling correct and they provided a buoy for her to enjoy the sharks and coral. The sail boat was clean and adequate for the overall size of the group. Fresh watermelon and drinks (including rum punch) are provided after. Highly recommend this excursion with this crew. Guaranteed to have a great time.
