You will start the lesson by preparing the most famous Ligurian pasta sauce: pesto. You will prepare the dough of pasta, flavor, water, eggs for a delicious dish. Get cooking tips while rolling the dough and then shape it. Once the work is completed, take a seat and enjoy the fruits of your labor in a convivial atmosphere. Alberto was a fabulous host who provided my favorite experience during my two weeks in Europe. Not only did I learn about pesto and Italian cooking, but I had a most memorable evening visiting new friends and sharing a treasured meal on Alberto's beautiful rooftop terrace. Alberto was so kind and generous with his time - even allowing us to bring our luggage to his home when the luggage locker hours didn't align with the time of this class. He was also generous providing many extras to the meal that i didn't expect - such as appetizers and dessert! I will remember this evening and Alberto's hospitality for years to come!

An incredibly unique experience. Alberto is a wonderful host who was very knowledgeable - teaching us the steps to making delicious pesto and pasta, but also providing us with history and background of the ingredients we were using. The location is stunning. The food was delicious. Was the highlight of our trip to Genoa and a must for food lovers!

This was our favorite experience of our trip! We chose this instead of a cruise excursion and are so glad we did. The setting was perfect - a gorgeous rooftop that changed the perspective of the tight winding streets below. It was also wonderful to have a small group because we each got to create both the pasta and the pesto from start to finish. Alberto was a great teacher and we cannot wait to make pasta at home! You can tell he takes pride in the authenticity of what you are creating (both ingredients and methods).
