Our Hoover Dam Kayak Trip is one of the, if not the, Best Dam Trip in the World. Our trip is unique due to our above-and-beyond quest to see as much as we can on this absolutely amazing 12-mile stretch of the Colorado River. We make 4 extra Stops/Hikes/Rain Caves on this trip

Guests could choose to experience ONE of these slot canyons on a day hike during winter, but it is not accessible during summer due to the heat. We see ALL via shortcut kayaking the Colorado River.

Sauna Cave:

We’ll stop here to discover hot springs deep inside the canyon

Gold Strike Hot Springs:

We'll hike 5 Minutes to these hot springs for a quick dip, and possibly hike further.

Lone Palm Falls:

Picture Opp with a 40-foot 96+ degree geothermal Waterfall

Boyscout Canyon:

We’ll explore to see multiple 300+ Foot Horizontal Geothermal Waterfalls

Lunch and Ice Water at Arizona Hot Springs:

We’ll hike about 10 minutes up to this open Hot Spring Slot Canyon

Lastly, Emerald Cave

Finish at Willow Beach

Hoover Dam

We are one of the few Outfitters approved to take you to the base of the base of the awe-inspiring Hoover Dam. There are restricted passes and guests do need to go through an approved outfitter like us to launch in kayaks from the base of the Hoover Dam. We see Sauna Cave, Goldstrike Waterfalls, Melt Your Shoes Hot Springs, Arizona Hot Springs, Boyscout Slot Canyon, and the Emerald Cave.

Colorado River

Kayak from Hoover Dam to the legendary Sauna Cave, a 140-foot geothermal tunnel of steam. This natural wonder reaches internal temperatures over 140°F, created by intense geothermal activity beneath the Earth’s surface. We begin by driving down a highly restricted road—normally reserved only for Hoover Dam employees—thanks to our exclusive, pre-approved access passes. The drive takes about 10 minutes. From there, we launch our kayaks directly into the Colorado River. Our first stop: a man-made hot spring that looks and feels completely natural. (We’ll explain the wild backstory in person!)

Hot yoga hot springs? Sure! You bring your poses but adventure child will get you there. Your guide knows the spots, the caves and hikes you just won’t get anywhere else. It’s obvious how much they care about your adventure and personal preference. Ditch the awful motor “tours” and put yourself in a better spot! Ask about the Rice Krispie treats

Best kayak experience. Cameron was a great guide. He had lots of knowledge and knew all the best spots to stop and check things out. He told us we can just enjoy the experience and didn’t have to worry about having our phone out to capture it. He took 500 photos/videos for us of our adventure. Book this excursion! You won’t regret it!

I knew it would be a good time but was surprised by the customer service all around great. Gino Rivera was my guide and had a great attitude and made sure we had a fun day.

I don’t know if I’m having a mid life crisis because I would never do something like this. Usually I would be very terrified. I said the heck with it! Let’s go! Our tour guide Gino made us feel very safe and secure! Absolutely awesome!

It was a great day with Cameron as our guide. The views were amazing. Cameron gave us time to explore, we didn't feel rushed, he was informative and fun. A must do with Adventure Child. Kayaking and hiking all in one trip.

What an amazing kayaking trip! Cameron was an awesome tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and was so fun! It was beautiful and such a memorable trip! I highly recommend going and asking for Cameron to be your tour guide.

We had a fantastic day on the river with Cameron. His humor fit ours well and the sites he showed us were breathtaking. The caves were plenty, the hot springs were clear and wonderful, the crowds minimal, and the river’s water was truly the emerald green imagined. We had unusually strong winds hit us late in the day, so the paddling became a workout, which was a bonus in my eyes. I would suggest that if your party isn’t comfortable being exposed to the sun, wind, and water for hours of the day, then maybe a shorter tour would be preferable. There is a significant amount of paddling, 12 miles. If you embrace the day as a physical challenge then you will be pleased. Bring plenty of water, electrolytes, a shaded hat, sunscreen, chapstick, water shoes that you are comfortable hiking a short way in, pick-me-up snacks, and a hearty lunch. I’d skip the alcohol on this trip because this is more of a physical endeavor than a leisurely wade on a lazy river. Truly worth the time (7-9 hours on the water). The memories will be shared around the campfire for years and thanks to Cameron’s fantastic photos, we have proof for our kids that we had an ‘epic adventure.’

Going to a tour with this company is a great. I had a tour kayaking down the colorado river from hoover dam with Johnny as guide and it was the best kayak trip ever. Johnny show is every thing you can see on the river, waterfalls, hidden hot springs coves and more. I really will use this service again
